Conventionally, textured wood decorative boards have been produced using parallel veneers with the wood grain direction in the same direction as the ridgeline of the unevenness of the mold, in order to minimize warping and shrinkage of the molded board. It is formed by laminating orthogonal veneers that are oriented at right angles. However, with orthogonal veneers, the fiber direction of the wood grain acts in a way that increases the resistance in the bending direction, which not only increases the forming pressure but also tends to cause poor adhesion between the veneers due to springback. . For this reason, it was difficult to finish the surface smoothly, and it was difficult to express fine irregularities.

This invention uses a mold with an uneven mold surface to press a laminate made by laminating orthogonal layers of veneer, parallel layers of veneer, and surface material via an adhesive. The gist of this method is a method for manufacturing an uneven wood decorative board, which is characterized in that the total thickness of the parallel veneers is greater than the maximum depth of the unevenness of the mold. Examples of this will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In this invention, the veneer that forms parallel layers refers to one that has wood grain (fiber direction) in the same direction as the ridgeline direction of the unevenness (waveform) of the mold. In addition, the veneer serving as an orthogonal layer refers to one having a wood grain (fiber direction) that is perpendicular to the grain of the veneer serving as a parallel layer.

FIG. 1 is a side view showing the uneven wood decorative board according to the present invention before molding. As shown in the figure, the veneer laminate 1 consists of veneers 3a and 3b arranged in parallel layers above and below the veneer 2, which is an orthogonal layer.
and a surface material 4 such as a decorative veneer placed on the top layer are laminated with an adhesive interposed therebetween. The veneers 2 serving as orthogonal layers and the veneers 3a, 3b, serving as parallel layers are arranged so that their grains (fiber directions) are orthogonal to each other.

In this invention, when molding such a laminate using a mold having an uneven mold surface, the total thickness of the veneers forming the parallel layers is made larger than the maximum depth of the unevenness of the mold. It is molded. That is, the maximum depth of the unevenness of the upper and lower molds 5a and 5b as shown in FIG. 1 is H1+H, respectively.
2, the veneer 3a which becomes the parallel layer of the veneer laminate 1.

As a result, the tips 6a and 6b of the convex portions of the molds 5a and 5b do not touch the veneer 2, which is an orthogonal layer, but the veneer 3, which is a parallel layer.
Since a..., 3b... are pressed together, it becomes almost unaffected by the resistance (reaction force) of the veneer 2, which is an orthogonal layer. FIG. 2 is a side view of the uneven wood decorative board thus obtained. As shown in the figure, the uneven wood decorative board 7 does not cause poor adhesion between the veneers.
The surface is smooth and beautifully finished.

The method for manufacturing the uneven wood decorative board according to the present invention is to press a laminate made of orthogonal layers of veneers, parallel layers of veneers, and surface material using a mold with an uneven mold surface. For this reason, relatively low pressure (10 to 15 kg/c
