Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a fixing roller which is scarcely flawed, and also to give exactly the levelness of a contact surface with the fixing roller by providing a projection provided with a slender opening part through which a mold releasing agent passes in the lengthwise direction of a slender opening part of the bottom part of a tank, on a holding plate for fixing a porous film, and positioning this projection at the inside of the porous film. CONSTITUTION:A projection 8 is provided on a holding plate 5 in a shape running along the projecting part of a tetrafluoroethylene resin porous film 3, and tumbling and deformation of the projecting part are prevented. In this case, between the projection of the holding plate and tetrafluoroethylene resin porous film, a porous shape maintaining body 4 of a heat-resistant felt, etc. is placed in advance in order to improve conformability to a fixing roller and to contact softly the roller. Also, it is necessary to provide a slender opening part, for instance, a long groove in the lengthwise direction of the fixing roller, which does not cover up the shape maintaining body as a passage of a mold releasing agent, on the holding plate.

圧着し焼き付けることにある。なお(14)はブレード

このような機構において、加熱された定着ロールと弾性

定着ロールに付着し画像が二重写しになる(所謂オフセ
ット現象)とか、設備の故障とかいった問題が発生する
。従って従来よりこの点について種々検討されているが
最終的には離型剤塗布装置により定着ロール及び弾性ロ
ールに離型のための離型剤を塗布する手段がとられてい
る。

突起を設け、耐熱性プラスチックや金属から成る長溝を
設けたタンク(2)の長溝から多孔質膜の突起を突出さ
せ、この突起に耐熱フェルトや4弗化エチレン樹脂の多
孔質体からなる形状維持体(4)を入れ、平らな押え板
(5)にて押え込み多孔質膜及び形状維持体を固定する
。そしてタンク内に離型剤(通常はシリコーンオイル)
(6)を入れ4弗化エチレン樹脂多孔質膜(6)を通し
て定着ローラ(1)に離型剤を均一に適量塗布するもの
である。また定着ローラの回転が早い場合には塗布部の
倒れや変形を防止する為に図のように、定着ローラの回
転方向後方に倒れ防止リブ(7)を設けたりする。

(構成) 即ち本発明の離型剤塗布装置は、離型剤をみたすタンク
に、その底部の定着ロール長さ方向の細長い開口部から
突出して、高分子多孔質膜を取り付け、多孔質膜から離
型剤を滲透させるよう構成した離型剤塗布装置に於いて
、多孔質膜を固定する押え板に、前記タンク底部の細長
い開口部長さ方向の離型剤の通る細長い開口部を備える
突起を設け、上記突起を多孔質膜の内側に位置せしめた
ことを特徴とするものである。

止する。この場合押え板の突起と4弗化エチレン樹脂多
孔質膜の間には、定着ローラとのなじみを良くしローラ
への接触を柔かくするため耐熱フェルト等の多孔質形状
維持体(4)を入れておく。また押え板には離型剤の通
路として形状維持体をおおいかくさないような定着ロー
ラ長さ方向の細長い開口部例えば長溝を設けておく必妾
要がある。

Claims (1)

【特許請求の範囲】 (1)離型剤をみたすタンクに、その底部の定着ロール
長さ方向の細長い開口部から突出して、高分子多孔質膜
を取り付け、多孔質膜から離型剤を滲透させるよう構成
した離型剤塗布装置に於いて、多孔質膜を固定する押え
板に、前記タンク底部の細長い開口部長さ方向の離型剤
の通る細長い開口部を備える突起を設け、上記突起を多
孔質膜の内側に位置せしめたことを特徴とする離型剤塗
布装置。 (2)多孔質膜と押え板の突起との間に形状維持体を存
在せしめた特許請求の範囲第(1)項記載の離型剤塗布
装置。 (6)形状維持体が厚み0.5〜5rrnの耐熱フェル
トであることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第(2)項記
載の離型剤塗布装置。 (4) 高分子多孔質膜が4弗化エチレン樹脂多孔質膜
である特許請求の範囲第(1)項記載の離型剤塗布装置
