Abstract

PURPOSE:To decompose and eradicate a malodorous substance by filling a plurality of chambers with a soil bacteria deodorant, which is obtained by a method wherein a soil bacteria group containing ammonia oxidizing bacteria, nitrate-forming bacteria, sulfur oxidizing bacteria and cellulose decomposing bacteria is mixed with a base material while the resulting mixture is subjected to active fermentation and dried. CONSTITUTION:Original bacteria comprising a soil bacteria gourp containing ammonia oxidizing bacteria, nitrate-forming bacteria, sulfur oxidizing bacteria and cellulose decomposing bacteria are mixed with a base material such as rice bran or saw dust and the resulting mixture is subjected to active fermentation and dried to obtain a powdery deodorant. A plurality of chambers 20 partitioning a casing are packed with said deodorant and malodorous gas from an inflow port 12 is successively and linearly flowed from the lower stage to the upper stage in the chamber 20. Malodorous substances are decomposed by the action of soil bacteria and deodorized gas is exhausted from an outflow part 13. The chamber 20 is formed into a drawer type due to rails 16 with rolls from the standpoint of the exchange of the soil bacteria deodorant and the maintenance of the other apparatus.

Filled with a bacterial deodorizer, the malodorous gas flowing in from the inflow portion is sequentially circulated through each chamber and brought into contact with the soil bacterial deodorizer, and the malodorous substance is decomposed by the action of the soil bacteria and converted into a deodorizing gas. Since the odor is discharged to the outside from the outflow portion, it is possible to eliminate the odor from its source. In addition, the components of bad odor are
