Abstract

PURPOSE:To evaluate and measure a magnetic head in a short time, by providing a magnetic head for measurement having tracks of the same number as the kind of magnetic tapes for measurement having different characteristics from each other. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic tape 18 for measurement of the magnetic characteristic measuring instrument of this invention uses three kinds of recording media C-E and the magnetic head for measurement 19 is three track type having tracks F, G, and H. When a sound recording head 1 to be measured is tested, simultaneous measurement is performed by passing each track of the magnetic head 19 for measurement through a reproducing system circuit. When an erase head 11 to be measured using a permanent magnet is tested, the magnetic head 19 for measurement is used as a sound recording head and reproducing head for measurement. Therefore, the time required for estimating and measuring a magnetic head can be reduced remarkably.

を印加し、その再生出力を得、規定消去電流をめていた
。第3図は被測定消去ヘッド2のかわりに消去電流の不
要な永久磁りを用いた被測定消去ヘッド11を試験する
ための回路ブロック図である。第4図は直流形消去ヘッ
ドの一例である永久磁石を用いた被測定消去ヘッドの歪
率及びS/Nを測定づるための回路ブロック図で、被測
定消去ヘッド11により録音されている測定用磁気テー
プ10の記録部分を消去し、消去後、測定用録音ヘッド
12により規定周波数及びレベルを録音し、測定用再生
ヘッド3及びバンドパスフィルター8により歪率をめ、
更には測定用録音ヘッド12を通さず、測定用再生ヘッ
ド3によりノイズ成分の出力を測定することにより、S
/Nをめていた。なお被測定消去ヘッドとして、直流電
流を印加Jる直流消去ヘッドを用いることもできる。
