Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily measure a recording characteristic by changing a write current with a head floated on a prescribed radial position of a magnetic recording medium to be checked to apply a magnetic field and obtaining relations between the reproduced output and the write current to apply a magnetic field to the recording medium by the write current to the saturation value of the reproduced output. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording medium 1 to be measured is attached to a spindle 2 of a checking device, and a head arm 4 and a head 3 attached to a Z-axis moving stage 5 are attached on the surface of the medium 1. の検査が行えるようになる。このような検査をヘッド3
を半径方向に移動しながら行うことにより、磁気記録媒
体1の全面の検査が行える。しかし、検査効率の上から
