This involves wrapping a cushioning material 4 around the tension member 1, arranging the optical fiber 2 and an intervening pair 3 used for power supply to the repeater on the circumference, and then wrapping a cushioning material 4' around the circumference of the tension member 1.
It is covered with a sheath 5 made of polyethylene or the like. Next, a method for connecting optical fibers will be described using FIG. Considering the case of connecting the cable 12 to the cable 11, the laser light 16 is input from one end of the optical fiber 13, and the optical fibers 13 and 14 to be connected are input to the connector 15. By the way, when connecting optical fibers, it is common and effective to connect the fibers so that the laser light is input from one end and the intensity of the laser light received at the other end of the fiber is maximized. The present invention attaches a laser beam receiver 18 to the terminal end 17 of the optical fiber 14, performs photoelectric conversion, and uses the intervening pair 19 of the cable 12 to monitor the recorder, oscilloscope, etc. at the connection site. The equipment 10 determines whether the connection is good or not, and when the output is at its highest, the connector and fiber are bonded or fixed. If you want to connect multiple cables, just repeat the same steps as above. As described above, according to the present invention, there is no need to draw a new cable for monitoring, and the operator can make the best connection by using the intervening pair 19 of the cable 12 to be connected while determining the quality of the connection himself. It has the advantage of
