Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a danger of cutting of a wire to replace the wire easily by stretching the wire between feeding terminals of a printed circuit board and making the printed circuit board attachable to and detachable from an electrifier case. CONSTITUTION:Holes 72 and 73 where end parts of a wire 1 for electrostatic charge are held are provided in both end parts of a printed circuit board 71, and copper foil patterns 74 and 75 are formed on the surface of this board around these holes. The wire 1 has both end parts inserted into a pair of wire holding holes 72 and 73 of the printed circuit board 71 and a tension is applied to this wire, and the wire 1 is fixed onto copper foil patterns 74 and 75 in this state by soldering. An electrifier 8 has a case 81 where a printed circuit board unit 7 is stored, and the electrifier case 81 is provided with a board holder 82 for keeping the stored printed circuit board 7 vertical and two flat springs 83 which press the printed circuit board unit to this holder 82. When the electrifier 8 is attached to a prescribed position of an electrophotographic printer, a voltage is supplied to the wire 1 for electrostatic charge from a printer-side connector through a feeding terminal 76 of the printed circuit board unit 7.

(bl) Prior Art and Problems In an electrophotographic printing device, the surface of a rotating photosensitive drum is uniformly charged by corona discharge from a charger, and then a laser beam modulated by print data is applied to the surface of a rotating photosensitive drum. By irradiating the photosensitive drum, the area on the drum that is irradiated with light becomes conductive and the charge disappears. In the developing section, the positively charged toner is attracted to the latent image on the drum, forming a toner image. The toner is then transferred to printing paper and printed by fixing the toner to the paper using heat.

FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the structure of a charger that charges a photosensitive drum. In the figure, a charging wire 1 is stretched across a pair of insulating holders 3 and 4 held at both ends of a charger case 6 via a spring 2. One spring 2 is connected to a voltage supply terminal 5, and a high voltage is applied via an external connector (not shown).

By the way, the charging wire 1 is as thin as 60 to 100 μm and is easily cut, and is also easily stained with toner and the like. For this reason, reupholstery is often necessary. However, in the conventional tensioning method, since the charging wire 1 was wound around the spring 2, the wire was easily damaged and broken at that part. Furthermore, since it takes a long time to replace the charging wire 1, there are problems such as having to carry a replacement charger for maintenance.

+e) Embodiment of the Invention Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 shows the structure of the printed circuit board unit 7 for wire tension in the charger 8 of the present invention. Holes 72 and 73 for holding wire ends are provided at both ends of the printed circuit board 71, and copper foil patterns 74 and 75 are formed on the surface of the board around these holes. The charging wire 1 is inserted into the pair of wire holding holes 72.73 at both ends of the printed circuit board 71, and is soldered onto the copper foil pattern 74.75 under tension. There is.

FIG. 3 is a partially cutaway perspective view showing an example structure of the charger 8 of the present invention to which the printed circuit board unit 7 is attached. The charger 8 has a case 81 that houses the printed circuit board unit 7, and the charger case 81 includes a board holder 82 for keeping the housed printed circuit board unit 7 vertical, and a board holder 82 to which the board unit is pressed. Two leaf springs 83 are provided. Now, when the charger 8 configured as described above is attached to a predetermined location of the electrophotographic printing device, voltage is supplied to the charging wire 1 from the connector on the device side via the power supply terminal 76 of the printed circuit board unit 7. Power is supplied to the photosensitive drum in the same manner as in the prior art. On the other hand, when cutting the charging wire 1, only the printed circuit board unit 7 needs to be replaced, and this work can be done in a short time.
