Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

In an oil filter consisting of a filter body housing a filter element and a mounting base supporting the lower part of the filter body and having an inlet passage and an outlet passage, the mounting base has a drain passage communicating with the oil pan of the engine. What is claimed is: 1. A drain device for an oil filter, wherein the inlet passage and the outlet passage are connected to the drain passage, respectively, and a drain valve is provided at the connection portion to simultaneously open and close the respective passages.
