Abstract

PURPOSE:To grasp the general idea of the characteristics of a sample at a glance, by displaying the result of analysis on a periodic table by a graph colored in correspondence with concentrations. CONSTITUTION:A sample name N is displayed on a display surface. A periodic table T is displayed under the sample name. A color scale C displays the grades of the concentrations of elements in colors. The colors are changed in the order of blue, green, yellow, orange and red from the lower concentration to the higher concentration. The result of analysis is displayed on the display pattern so that each element frame on the periodic table is colored in correspondence with the respective concentration. The place of an element, which is not included in the sample, has no color, i.e., the black ground, on the periodic table. Even in the colored frame, the element symbol is intactly displayed by white character. The format of the table to be displayed is not limited to the periodic table, and a suitable format can be used depending on the scope of the sample to be analyzed and the like.

- Conventional technology For the results of elemental analysis, a table is created that lists the names of various elements in the sample and numbers indicating quantitative values such as concentration or content of those elements, or codes indicating the rank of concentration. It is presented by Such a table can, for example, be used to arrange the names of elements in descending order of content, or in descending order of element content, or to determine the characteristics of a sample substance, chemical classification, etc. from the analysis results shown in such a table. If you try to understand the concept of the sample, you have to read each element name and number listed in the table, put it in your head, use mental operations to extract the characteristics of the sample, and use the analysis results. This is an inconvenient and uninteresting display method for those who do so.

E. Embodiment FIG. 1 shows a display pattern on a display surface in an embodiment of the present invention. The sample name N is displayed at the top of the display screen, and the periodic table T is displayed below it. In this table, the frame line and the symbol of the name element are displayed with white lines.

Color scale C is displayed at the bottom. The color scale displays the concentration of elements in different colors, and the colors change from low to high concentration, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red, on a logarithmic scale of concentration. In this display pattern, the analysis results 1 are displayed in a format in which each element frame on the periodic table is painted in a color corresponding to its respective concentration. Of course, the elements on this periodic table that are not included in the sample are achromatic, that is, they are marked with an X on a black background, and even in colored frames, the element symbols are still displayed in white letters. Of course, if the element symbol is in white, it will be difficult to see when the background color is bright like yellow, so in that case, you can configure the program to make the symbol black, or change the element symbol to a color scale. It may be displayed in color depending on the situation.

Note that the format of the table to be displayed is not limited to the periodic table, and any appropriate format can be used depending on the range of the analysis sample, etc.

1 is a keyboard through which an operator inputs element names and concentration data based on analysis results. Reference numeral 2 denotes a color setting memory, and the computer 3 registers the sample name, element name, and color code corresponding to their concentration in the color setting memory by inputting from the keyboard. 4 is a pattern memory into which the periodic table pattern and color scale pattern are input in advance.

When the input from the keyboard is completed, the computer inputs a color code indicating the concentration of the element into each address within the frame of the predetermined element on the pattern memory 4 based on the contents of the color setting memory. Thereafter, the computer scans the pattern memory 4, sequentially reads data at each address, and sends it to the color signal forming circuit 5.

Effects The display device of the present invention has the above-described configuration, and the analysis results are not simply a list of letters and numbers, but are displayed as a graph on the periodic table, color-coded by concentration, and the mutual amounts of the constituent elements. Not only can you understand the relationship between ratios at a glance, but also in relation to the periodic table,
The chemical classification of the sample, such as whether the sample is an acidic substance, a basic substance, or a salt, or whether it contains harmful impurities of genus 2 or 5. It is not possible to grasp with a single glance the property that something is included.
