Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明はホントメルト接着剤塗布装置や、樹脂成形装置
に利用可能な樹脂溶融装置に関するものである。
従来例の構成とその問題点 近年、樹脂の成形機における町塑化磯槽の改良が要望さ
れ、これまで、ホットメルト接層剤の溶融にしか使われ
なかった方式も検討されている。
現在における可塑化機構の玉流はスクリュ一式である。
スクリュ一式の利点は材料の供給、溶融。
脱泡がスクリューの回転動作のみによりなし得ることK
あり、更に射出成形機においてはスクリュー全体が前進
することにより射出を行なうことができるというように
シンプルな構造で様々な機能が得られる点にあった。と
ころがスクリュ一式の欠点として、装置全体が大きいこ
と、スクリュー溝の中にある材料を清帰しにくいこと、
スクリューの回転・前後退に大きな動力を要することな
どが挙けられ、このことが現在生産現場において問題と
されている生産ラインの自由度の高さ、スペ−ス効率の
高さ、工程在庫のムダの排除などに照らし合わせると利
点より欠点が大きいと判断されている。
このことから、上記欠点を解決する目的で様々な方式が
検討されるに及んでいる。予め線状に加工され′PC樹
脂材料を熱せられた部材に押し当てて溶融する方法もそ
の一つであり、従来にホットメルト接着剤を溶融する方
法として専ら用いられていた。第1図はホットメルト接
着剤溶融装置の主要部の断面を示すものであり、本体1
に設けられた通孔(開口6と開口4を連通する空間)に
発熱体2を設け、発熱体2を適当な温度に保ちつつ、線
状樹脂3を開口5よシ供給して発熱体2に押し当てると
、発熱体2の表面2aにおいて樹脂が溶融し、溶融樹脂
は開口4より流出する。作業終了時に開口4近傍に存在
し、固化した樹脂は本体1を加熱することにより溶融し
て次の作業を行なう。
また作業継続中も本体1は適度な温度に保たれる。
上記構成における問題は主として樹脂の溶融能力、即ち
時間当りの樹脂の溶融量を向上することにあシ、そもそ
も、発熱体の表面からの熱の移動に頼る上記構成は溶融
能方向上に限度があるが、もし溶融能力を向上したり、
そルとは別に開口4側に背圧が生ずると開口6側に溶融
樹脂が逆流し、溢流するという欠点を有する。
発明の目的 本発明は溶融能力が高くかつコンパクトな樹脂溶融装置
を提供し、樹脂加工における生殖性の向上に寄与せんと
するものである。
発明の構成 本発明における樹脂溶融装置は、実質的に透明体よりな
り通孔を有する第一の部材と、金属よりなり通孔を有す
る第二の部材および第三の1ηIS材と、赤外線を含む
電磁波を輻射しつるヒーターと、ヒーターの周囲に設け
らnた反射鏡を具備し、前記第一の部材の通孔の一方に
第二の部材の通孔を連通させて線状樹脂を貫通可能とな
し、更に前記第一の部材の通孔の他方に第三の部材の通
孔を連通させ、前記ヒーターを前記第一の部材の周囲に
設けた構成を有するものであり、第二の部材の通孔に供
せられた線状樹脂に赤外線を輻射して効率良く樹脂を溶
融する効果を得るものである。
実施例の説明 以下本発明の実施例を用いて説明を行なう。
第2図は本発明を実施する樹脂溶融装置の主要部の断面
を示すものであり、第3図は第2図のA−A′断面を示
すものである。
第一の部材をなす石英ガラスで作ら扛通孔22を有する
円筒部材7と、開口19を含む通孔2゜を有する鉄製の
第二の部材6と、開口18を含む通孔2’1’(f−4
−1する鉄製の第三の部材8のそれぞれの通孔が連通ず
るように組立てられており、円筒部材7は第二の部材6
および第三の部材8にインロー嵌合されて通孔の合わせ
がズレないように維持されている。捷た第二の部材6と
円筒部材7との通孔連通部は殆んど段差な゛〈接続して
いる0円筒部拐7の周囲には第2図および第3図に示す
ようにヒーター9が離れて保持さ肛ておシ、更にヒータ
ー9の周囲にはアルミ製の反射板11が設けられている
。ヒーター9の両側は端子1oが設けてあり、ここに電
源を接続すルはヒーター9の側面から赤外線を生体とし
た電磁波が輻射さ扛る。ヒーター9から反射板11へ輻
射さnfv赤外 ′縁は反射して円筒部材7に向かうよ
う構成さルている。第二の部材6に設けらnた通孔20
は開口19の部分がやや広くなっており、線状樹脂17
の挿入を容易にしている。また第二の部材6には熱′電
対12が埋設さnており第二の部材6の温度が検出可能
に構成さnている。第三の部材8にはバンドヒーター1
4が巻き付けられ、加熱可能であり、更に第三の部材8
に埋設された熱電対15により第三の部材8の温度が検
出可能になっている。第三の部材8に設けらfした通孔
21にのぞむ突起13には熱電対16が保持さル、突起
13から露出した部分の熱電対16は、円筒部材7の通
孔22iCものぞむように構成されている。上記構 。
成において、バンドヒーター14およびヒーター9に通
電して第三の部材8を適温に保った後、線状樹脂17を
開口19より挿入す几ば、石英ガラス製の円筒部材7に
線状樹脂17が導か′nた時点から、赤外線の照射を浴
び加熱される。線状樹IJWの供給速度とヒーター9の
出力を適当に選ぶことにより円筒部材7と第三の部材8
との境界に達した(ソ(脂の温度を適宜に制御でき、従
って完全に溶融した状態で第三の部材80通孔内に導く
こともrjJ能である。上記作用により順次送り出され
る線状樹脂1了は円筒部材7の通孔部で溶融し、溶融し
た樹脂を開口18より流出させることができる。
上記構成における効果は、赤外線等による輻射でエネル
ギーを樹脂に伝達するので、エネルギー密度を向上する
ことが可能であり、従って溶融能力を向」二できること
VCある。
−1た、第2図の構成において第二の部材6に伝わる熱
は、ヒーター9からのわずかな輻射と円管部材からの伝
導であり、第二の部材6の温度を樹脂の溶融温度以下に
保つことが容易に可能となり、溶融樹脂がバンクフロー
を起してもただちに線状樹脂170表面に固化層となっ
て再び円管部材7の方へ送り出さnるので開口19から
溢流することがない。
また、熱電対16で検出した値に基いてヒーター9の出
力を制御する方式を用いると円筒部材7での樹脂の溶融
温度を一定に保つこと°が容易に可能となる。
本発明で言う実質的に透明体とは、使用するヒーターか
ら発せられる電磁波を透過するものを指す。ヒーターか
ら発せられる電磁波はヒーターの温度により波長の分布
が異なることが知られている。その中で可視光に関して
は人間の目で見る透明と実質的な透明とは一致するが、
樹脂の溶融に特に有効な赤外線においては必ずしも一致
しないので人間の目に透明と写らなくとも実質的に透明
であれば良い。
発明の効果 本発明は樹脂を溶融させるエネルギーを熱伝導によらず
、輻射を主体としているので、エネルギー密度の向上が
容易で、溶融能力を向上させる効果を得るものである。
その結果、ホットメルト接着剤の溶融装置においては作
業速度の向上が可能となり、更に射出成形等の樹脂成形
の可塑化装置としても実用i」能になることなど産業上
の効果は犬なるものがある。

  1. (1)実質的に透明体よりなり通孔を有する第一の部材

    部材と、赤外線を含む電磁波を輻射しうるヒータと、こ
    のヒータの周囲に設けられた反射鏡とを具備し、前記第
    一の部材の通孔の一方に第二の部材の通孔を連通させて
    線状樹脂を貫通可能となし、更に前記第一の部材の通孔
    の他方に第三の部材の通孔を連通させ、前記ヒーターを
    前記第一の部材の周囲に設けてなる樹脂溶融装置。
  2. (2)第二の部材の通孔は固体の樹脂を受入几る構成と
    なし、第二の部材の温度を前記樹脂の溶融温度以下とな
    した特許請求の範囲第1項記載の樹脂溶融装置。
  3. (3)通孔はその中に温度検出手段を備えた特許請求の
    範囲第1項記載の樹脂浴融装置。
