Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable safe and easy attaching of a circular cylindrical lens in a receptacle body while adjusting the position of the lens by forming guide holes for insertion of guide bars on the outside lateral face of a disc fixed to the outside peripheral part of the circular cylindrical lens. CONSTITUTION:Guide holes 2b, 2b are provided on both sides of a loose fitting hole 2a for a lens. A guide means 4 consists of a base body 4a, and two flexible guide bars 4b, 4b which are spaced at the same space between the holes 2b and 2b, are fixed at one end and have the top ends bent to an L shape. A disc 2 is fixed to a circular cylindrical lens 1 and the lens unit is engaged with the means 4, then the disc can be moved while the contact with the receptacle body is maintained without allowing the guide means to contact with the lens and without concealing the disc. There is therefore no possibility of damaging the lens in the operation for fixing the lens to the receptable body and the bonding job is easy.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention applies to optical fibers that are essential for optical communication components connected to optical fibers, such as optical splitters/combiners, optical demultiplexers/combiners, and optical switches. The present invention relates to a communication receptacle, and more particularly to an optical communication receptacle that can be easily attached to a receptacle body using a cylindrical lens glue for converting emitted light from an optical fiber into parallel light.

When a conventional optical communication receptacle is used to attach a cylindrical lens as described above to a main body, for example, as shown in FIG. In order to fix the lens unit firmly and to align the optical axes of the lens and the optical fiber, a guide plate 3 having elasticity and having a hole 3a slightly larger than the lens diameter as shown in Fig. 3 is used. 3 holes 3a Helens 1
The optical axes are aligned by inserting the guide plate 3 and moving the guide plate 3.

However, in this case, in order to guide the lens 1 through the guide plate 3, the lens 1 must protrude from the disc 2 by at least the thickness of the guide plate 3, and the lens 1 must be inserted into the hole 3a of the guide plate 3. When inserting the lens, the plate surface may come into contact with the lens end surface and damage the lens end surface. When the lens 1 enters the hole 3a of the guide plate 30, the edge of the lens 1 may be chipped. When fixing the receptacle body to the receptacle body with adhesive, the guide plate 3 covers a large part of the disc 2, as shown in FIG. 4, making it difficult to perform the work.

FIG. 6 shows a lens unit in which the disk 2 shown in FIG. 5 is fixed to a cylindrical lens is attached to the receptacle body, and one end is fixed to the base 4a with the same spacing as the spacing between the two guide holes 2b, 2b. It consists of two elastic guide rods 4b, 4b whose tips are bent into an L-shape. The thickness of the guide rod 4b is made slightly thinner than the diameter of the guide hole 2b, and the length of the curved tip portion 4C is made slightly shorter than the depth of the guide hole 2b. Easy to attach and remove.
