Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent lubricating oil from deteriorating as well as to make a drain interval extendible, by installing an oil pump rotating in linkage with an internal-combustion engine interposingly in the point midway in a feed pipe which feeds an oil additive into an oil pan. CONSTITUTION:An oil additive 9 inside a tank 1 is fed to the inside of lubricating oil 7 in an oil pan 6 sticking to the bottom part from the side part of a cylinder block 5 via a feed pipe 8, while an oil pump 4 is installed interposingly in the point midway in the feed pipe 8, and directly coupled with a shaft part at the opposite side to a pinion 2 of a motor shaft 10 for a starter 3. Therefore, in time of starting, with operation of the starter 3, the oil pump 4 also operates, so that the pump 4 is kept in a state of low temperature and cleanness, and the oil additive 9 that brings about no deterioration is replenished into the oil pan 6. Thus, a drain interval for lubricating oil can be extended yet longer.

CD-grade diesel oil, which is generally used as lubricating oil for internal combustion engines, contains 5 to 10% of various additives, but when the engine is used at high temperatures and high speeds, the oil deteriorates rapidly. However, the demand for extending the life of oil is becoming stricter year by year, and it is necessary to improve the accuracy of oil filters.
It captures dirt such as soot in the oil, but at the same time it also captures additives in the oil, and even in a single test of a precision bypass filter using CD grade diesel oil, the total base number was 40 to 70%. In recent years, there have been reports that the additive content has decreased, and the problem lies in the fact that the entire amount of additives is added from the beginning of use and recycled.

Therefore, in recent years, considering the fixed lifespan of oil additives used in lubricating oil, it has been proposed to extend the useful life of lubricating oil for internal combustion engines by replacing or replenishing these additives. In an improved oil filter that uses an oil-soluble thermoplastic polymer, the polymer contains an oil additive and is positioned within the oil filter at a location such that the polymer can dissolve at a relatively linear rate. There has been an invention published in Japanese Patent Publication No. 54-43129 regarding an oil filter designed to
In this case, there is a problem in that the thermoplastic polymer containing the oil additive is agglomerated and it is difficult to control the dispersion rate of the additive into the lubricating oil.

Therefore, the present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional problems, prevents the deterioration of lubricating oil in internal combustion engines by replenishing the optimal oil additive during the period of use of the lubricating oil, and extends the drain interval. This was done for the purpose of providing suitable lubrication by maintaining acid neutralizing and cleaning and dispersing abilities, and to prevent wear of parts.

Next, FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of the present invention, and the difference from the first embodiment shown in FIG. This point is connected to the fuel pump 12 via the fuel pump 12. Example 2
According to this, a small amount of oil additive 9 is reliably supplied into the oil pan 6 at all times during operation of the internal combustion engine. The other configurations are the same as in Example 1. In the case of the present invention, the supplied oil additive 9 is kept at a low temperature and in a clean state in the additive tank 1, so that it does not have the same deterioration effect as in the conventional case. The lubricating oil drain interval of the internal combustion engine can be extended because it is replenished into the oil pan 6 when the starter is activated when starting the internal combustion engine or during operation of the internal combustion engine. When the lubricating oil additive supply device of the present invention is applied to an internal combustion engine, the oil drain interval can be extended by replenishing the additive at an optimal rate during the oil usage period.
