Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the scavenger, in which a skin and a foamed body are bonded firmly and external-form size is constant and the value thereof as goods is high easily by molding the skin in an inner die for molding, injecting a polyurethane foam raw material into the die and closing the die. CONSTITUTION:The inner surface of a die 3 for molding is coated with a two- pack type urethan elastomer, and the skin 4 of 20-1,000mum thickness, 0.6-1.1g/ cm<3> density and 70Hs hardness (conforming to JIS k-6301) or more is formed. The polyurethane foam raw material 5 having elasticity is injected into the die 3 for molding, the die is closed, the raw material 5 is foamed in the die 3 to form the foamed body 6, a polyurethane foam cures after a fixed time passes, and the die is removed, thus manufacturing the scavenger. Accordingly, the skin 4 and the foamed body 6 are bonded firmly by adhesive property and foaming pressure in case of the reaction of the polyurethane foam raw material 5, and a removal process for a mold release agent is unnecessitated.

The conventional manufacturing method for a cleaning tool for inside piping is to first manufacture the foam 1 in a mold, then remove the Nm agent that has adhered to the surface of the foam 1 and was applied inside the mold. Thereafter, a skin 2 is formed on the surface of the foam 1. The skin 2 is formed by spraying a urethane elastomer liquid onto the surface of the foam 1, by applying it to the surface of the foam 1, or by applying the foam 1 to the urethane elastomer liquid. It is done by immersion.

(a) Before forming the skin in the mold
A two-component urethane elastomer is applied to the inner surface of a mold 6 having a predetermined shape, which has been coated with # molding agent and brought to a predetermined temperature, to form a skin. The thickness of the epidermis is selected in the range of 20-100 LIA and the density in the range of 0.6-1.1 f/d. The manufacturing method of the present invention eliminates the need for the mold release agent removal process required in conventional manufacturing methods, and is rational. In addition, since the skin is molded within a mold, the dimensions (
Furthermore, since the skin and the foam are firmly bonded by the adhesiveness and foaming pressure during the reaction of the polyurethane foam raw materials, the skin will not peel off from the foam even when the friction occurs during cleaning. This method has the advantage of being able to provide a piping cleaning tool with high commercial value.
