Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the ignition of gasoline while fuel is being fed by providing a switch interlocked with a lever in the middle of an electric circuit connecting an ignition switch and an ignition plug. CONSTITUTION:When a lever 3 is operated to feed fuel to a car without turning an ignition switch 13 off, a switch 14 is operated and no current flows through a circuit B connecting a battery 10 and an ignition plug 12. Accordingly, an engine is stopped and the ignition never occurs while fuel is being fed. When fuel has been fed and the lever 3 is returned to its original position, the circuit B resumes its original condition. Then, if the ignition switch is operated and a starter motor 11 is rotated, the engine is started.
