Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve availability factor of a measuring apparatus, by performing automatic span adjustment at a suitable time, when a material to be measured in a measuring hopper, which is selected for combination, is discharged, and finishing the span adjustment in a short time without an operator. CONSTITUTION:The combination processes of a measuring apparatus are performed as follows: (a) a pool hopper 3 is opened and closed, and a material to be measured is put in a measuring hopper 2; (b) the material to be measured is computed by a load cell 1, and the computed value is inputted to a central processing unit CPU; (c) the weights of the material to be measured are combined and operated in the central processing unit CPU, and the combination of specified weights or the weights closest to the specified weights is selected; and (d) the measuring hopper 2, which is selected for said combination, is opened and closed. In the present invention, the span adjustment is automatically performed in said process (d), and the span adjustment can be finished in a short time without an operator. Therefore, the availability factor of the measuring apparatus can be improved.
