Unlike normal people, people with visual impairments are unable to visually confirm their destination, so they have no choice but to use their memory to find their destination. It goes without saying that it is completely impossible to search for something on your own, and that your range of daily activities is severely limited.

In order to expand the scope of a visually impaired person's life, it is essential to have the tremendous cooperation of those around them, but such cooperation naturally has its limits, and it may also force the visually impaired person to make sacrifices to those around him. There are circumstances that make it impossible. Currently, countermeasures for visually impaired people are being taken, such as laying blocks for direct entry on station platforms, roads, and intersections, and installing traffic lights for the blind, but these measures are mainly aimed at traffic safety. It is a countermeasure, and there is nothing to guide or guide you to the destination or point.

According to the present invention, a transmitting means is installed in the shoes worn by pedestrians, especially blind people, or in the canes they carry, and a sensor is embedded in the road surface or floor number at a specific location or point to be activated in response to a signal from the transmitting means. and sound generating means connected to the sensor and actuated by a signal received by the sensor, for audibly informing the location or point of a specific location or point or appropriate instructions. A voice guidance system for blind people is obtained.

FIGS. 3(a) and 3(b) are diagrams showing examples of installation of the transmitting means 12 for emitting control signals to the sensor 6, in which (a) shows the case where it is installed on the stepping surface of footwear 13, and (b) indicates the case where it is installed at the tip of the cane. In either case, the sensor 6 is made to be sensitive to the signal emitted from the transmitting means 12 directly above the sensor 6 buried in the floor surface. As for the signal from the transmitting means 12, it is also possible to use other electrical or magnetic signals or ultrasonic signals for emitting radio waves of a specific frequency.

The voices recorded in the voice conversion unit 11 are voices indicating a specific place or point, or voices indicating the direction of a specific place or point. For example, ``This is room 00'', 1 is the men's toilet'', 1 stair. It's a word that specifically refers to a specific place or point, such as 1 or [Please be careful because there are stairs. 1) Please walk straight to the toilet. 11

Therefore, person b wears 171 footwear 13 with built-in transmitting means 12, or wears footwear 171 with built-in transmitting means 12.
When you normally walk around the city with 1, when you reach the place or point where the sensor 6 is installed, an instruction is given from the voice generator 11 at each place or point, and you can easily reach your destination according to the instruction. . It is also possible to provide further necessary information at the destination.

As described above, according to the present invention, a transmitting means is incorporated into footwear such as shoes or slippers for the blind person, or a cane carried by the blind person, and a signal emitted from the transmitting means is installed at a specific place or point on the floor or road surface. Since certain information is received by a sensor and conveyed through voice, blind people can easily confirm their current location using this voice as a clue, and can move without asking for help from others. Footwear and canes, in particular, are indispensable for blind people to walk, and their range of motion can be expanded by wearing them.Furthermore, all of them are partially in contact with the floor or road surface, and various information can be obtained by the feel of the contact surface. Therefore, it is easy to have the sensor's location searched by indicating the sensor's location or adding a specific block as appropriate, and it does not place unnecessary burden on the blind person while walking. It can be carried out without any difficulty for people.
