Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve excellent cornering characteristic by steering one rear wheel with correspondense to the steering of a pair of front wheels in the direction reverse from the steering direction of front wheel while moving to the side opposite from the turning side of car. CONSTITUTION:A three-wheeled vehicle 1 is provided with two front wheels 2 and one rear wheel 3 and an engine 6 is mounted in the front chassis 4. The engine 6 power is transmitted from the output shaft 7 through an equi-speed joint 8 to the left/right front wheels 2. A pitman arm 10 is secured to the lower end of the steering shaft 9 where one arm 10a is coupled through a tierod 11 to the knuckle arm 12 while the other arm 10b is coupled through a rod 13 to a pair of rear forks 14. The interval of vertical pins 21 at the leading edge is set shorter than that of a pair of vertical pins 16 at the base of the rear fork 14. Consequently the required function can be achieved.
