These types of recording devices include a horizontal recording device in which the recording paper is flattened, fed, and finally folded and stored in a receiving box by the action of gravity, and a horizontal recording device in which the recording paper is arranged vertically (i.e., both edges of the recording paper are placed vertically). There is a vertical recording device that gradually feeds the paper (with one side facing down) and stores it in a receiving box only by this feeding operation. FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the appearance of a commonly used vertical recording device.
FIG. 2 schematically shows the internal structure of a conventional vertical recording apparatus. In such a vertical recorder, unused recording paper 7 stored in a supply box 1 is continuously fed out by a feeding sprocket 3 and recorded by a recording pen 4.

When the recording is completed, the recording paper 7 is sent to the back of the recording apparatus and fed into the receiving box 10 by a feed-in sprocket 5 attached near the entry point of the receiving box. Since the recording paper 7 is neatly folded while being stored in the supply box 1 and usually has perforations or the like made in the folds, the recording paper itself has considerable creases.
Therefore, the recording sheets 7 fed into the receiving box 10 are folded and stored one after another according to the folding pattern. In order to ensure such folding and storage, the shapes of the receiving box guide surface 10d and the recording paper presser 11 near the receiving box entrance 10a are important factors, and various proposals have been made to improve this point. has been done. For example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-36702 discloses a technique for improving the entrance of this receiving box. However, even if some improvements are made to the receiving box, the above-mentioned folding storage is not possible due to various reasons that will be described later. In other words, the mountain fold line 8, which should originally be folded as shown by the solid line A in FIG. Or, conversely, what should be a valley fold line 9 may become a mountain fold line and be bent in the opposite direction.
Most of the recording paper is stored in the receiving box 10, and when the area near the end enters the receiving box, the part near the end of the recording paper is strongly pushed by the part that has already been folded into the receiving box 10. It is retracted while receiving the force of return. In particular, the valley fold line 9 comes into contact with the guide surface 10d of the receiving box 10 and advances while rubbing against this, but generally this guide surface does not extend smoothly from the retracting sprocket 5, so the recording paper The feeding operation alone does not have enough force to push the valley fold line toward the side surface 10c of the receiving box, and as a result, the valley fold line 9 is bent in the middle of its progress, as if buckling occurred in areas other than the crease. The problem arises that it stops. In a vertical recording apparatus, recording paper is stored only in accordance with the feeding operation of the recording paper and does not use any force such as gravity, so such jamming of the recording paper is likely to occur. Further, as a result of research, it is known that the above-mentioned reverse folding phenomenon of recording paper is caused by the following factors. First, since the feeding speed of the recording paper 7 is low (approximately 20 mm per hour), the fold lines 8 and 9 disappear and the paper becomes curved from the feeding sprocket 3 until it is folded in the receiving box 10. This tendency becomes even more pronounced especially when the usage environment is hot and humid. Second, when the recording paper is fed toward the back from the vicinity of the entrance 10a of the receiving box, the traveling direction of the mountain fold line 8 and the valley fold line 9 should be clearly different, but the direction of travel is clearly different. As is clear from Figure 2, the structure near the entrance 10a has a mountain fold line,
It had a compromising fixed structure in which all of the valley fold lines were bent, and the direction of travel was largely dependent on the folding of the recording paper. However, since there is a considerable distance for the fold line part of the recording paper to reach the back from the entrance 10a, there is a problem in that the fold line is once fully extended in the middle and reverse folding occurs when the paper is folded next time. This tendency was especially strong when the inside of the receiving box 10 was almost empty. Although the above-mentioned problems were often seen in horizontal recording devices (in which the recording paper is folded relatively correctly due to the influence of gravity when storing it), it was a particularly serious problem in vertical recording devices. . For this reason, some vertical recording devices use roll-up recording paper instead of folding recording paper, and are equipped with a roll-type winding mechanism that makes storage operations more reliable, even though it is inconvenient for inspecting and storing recorded data. The reality was to avoid such problems. The present invention uses foldable recording paper, is equipped with a mechanism that can reliably fold mountain folds and valley folds in the recording paper fed into a receiving box, and is folded and folded into the receiving box. It is an object of the present invention to solve each of the above-mentioned problems by providing a recording device incorporating a stop member that prevents the stored recording paper from being pushed back toward the entrance of the receiving box.

This recording device takes recording paper 7 from a supply box 1 and continuously sends it to a receiving box 10. In this recording device, the recording paper 7 is connected to each other by a gear mechanism (or a timing belt mechanism: neither is shown in the figure), and is driven by a synchronous motor, etc. It has a feeding sprocket 3 and a feeding sprocket 5 connected to a driving source. The feeding sprocket 3 has sprocket pins 3b on its outer periphery to engage with feed holes provided in a row on both sides of the recording paper 7, and two sprocket pins 3b are installed, each positioned near both sides of the recording paper. It is being The feeding sprocket 5 also has a protrusion 5a that engages with a feed hole provided in the recording paper 7.
on the outer periphery, two of which are positioned near both sides of the recording paper and rotatably supported by the shaft 6. A guide plate 12 attached to the shaft 6 via support legs 12a and 12b is pivotally supported, and this guide plate 12 is supported by a recording paper presser 11 provided on the side wall of the recording apparatus so as to face the guide plate 12.
A small gap is created between the receiving box and the receiving box entrance 10a. The relationship between the guide plate 12 and the receiving box 10 is indicated by arrow R in FIG.
This is shown in FIG. 4, which is a perspective view of the inside of the recording device viewed in the direction of FIG. As is clear from this figure, the guide plate 12 constitutes a guide surface of the receiving box. However, this guide is the first
Unlike the guide surface 10d shown in the figure, it does not have a fixed structure, but can pivot (swing) downward from the position shown in FIG. 4 about the shaft 6. Further, as is clear from the figure, the guide plate 12 is bent to form a part of a substantially cylindrical side surface, and the center of the curved surface coincides with the holes 12c and 12d made in the support legs 12a and 12b. There is. Slot holes 12e are provided at both ends of the guide plate 12.
, 12f are bored, and the protrusion 5a of the retracting sprocket 5 projects through these slot holes. This protrusion 5a engages with the feed hole of the recording paper 7 transferred from the feeding sprocket 3, and feeds the recording paper into the receiving box along the surface of the guide plate 12. Then, when the feeding sprocket 5 continues to rotate and its protrusion 5a is retracted into the slot holes 12e, 12f of the guide plate 12, the recording paper is separated from the feeding sprocket. Further, as is clear from FIGS. 3 and 4, push-down pieces 20 are provided on both sides of the leading end of the guide plate 12 to extend further forward. On the other hand, a return prevention piece 21 is attached to the back surface 10c of the receiving box 10 and extends from the front edge of the back surface 10c to a position slightly inside the receiving box. In the present invention, this return prevention piece 21 is made of a thin metal plate spring, and its free end 21a extends inside the back surface 10c of the receiving box. The dimensions of each part of the recording apparatus described here are determined as follows.

Now, if the folding width of the recording paper is e, the inner width L of the receiving box is set to be slightly larger than l (about 1 mm), so that the folded recording paper can be folded with plenty of room, but may not be aligned inside the receiving box. It is now being accommodated in such a way as to prevent it from becoming a problem.
Further, the return prevention piece 21 extends inward from the back surface 10c of the receiving box, and extends from its free end 21a to the inner surface 11 of the recording paper presser 11.
The dimensions up to a are configured to be slightly smaller (approximately 2 mm) than the folding width l of the recording paper. Furthermore, the height dimension from the free end 21a of the return prevention piece to the guide plate 12 located at the position indicated by the solid line is h, and the guide plate 1
When comparing the dimensions of the two, assuming that the swing motion stroke of No. 2 is H, h is set to be 2 to 3 mm shorter than H. The guide plate 12 pivots between the uppermost position shown by the solid line in FIG. 3 (hereinafter referred to as the first position) and the lowermost position shown by the dotted line (hereinafter referred to as the second position). By performing this pivot movement, the mountain folds and valley folds of the recording paper can be performed correctly.

The first position of the guide plate 12 is the optimum position for feeding the valley fold line 9b toward the back surface 10c of the receiving box, such as the recording paper 7b shown by the solid line in FIG. 3, for example. While the guide plate 12 is in this first position, the valley fold line 9b advances along the surface of the guide plate and comes close to the back surface 10c of the receiving box. Then, the guide plate swings downward about the shaft 6, pushing the valley fold line 9b of the folded recording paper downward. The valley fold line 9b portion pushed away in this way is
The push-down piece 20 is still pressed down even though it is in contact with the return prevention piece 21.
When the push-down piece reaches the second position, it passes through the tip of the return prevention piece and moves toward the bottom of the receiving box. When the guide plate 12 reaches the position inside the receiving box 10, that is, the second position, the surface 20a of the push-down piece 20 is configured to be substantially parallel to the bottom surface 10b of the receiving box. When a sufficient amount of recording paper is folded and accommodated in the receiving box, when the guide plate 12 comes to the second position, the push-down piece 20 folds the recording paper 7
Push down in the direction of arrow S with the top surface of the box a toward the bottom surface 10b of the receiving box. The second position of the guide plate 12 is, for example, as shown in the dotted line in FIG.
This is the optimal position for feeding the material in the direction of the bottom surface 10b.
In this second position, the guide plate 12 protrudes to an intermediate position within the receiving box, so even if the starting end of the recording sheet is fed into the receiving box, the mountain fold line 12 To properly fold recording paper by preventing reverse folding. When the folding along the mountain fold line 8 is thus completed, the guide plate returns to the first position again. However, the folded recording paper tries to return as the guide plate returns, but its fold line portion 9a engages with the return prevention piece 21, and its free end 21a prevents the return movement of the recording paper. Therefore, even when the receiving box is almost full with recording paper, a fairly wide space is created in the receiving box while the guide plate 12 is in the first position, so that the valley fold line 9b is
It is possible to proceed toward the back surface 10c of the receiving box while following the folding line, and folding along this valley fold line can be carried out well all the way to the end. When the valley fold line 9b is completely folded, the guide plate 12 starts its swinging motion again and pushes the valley fold line 9b which has just been folded in the direction of the arrow S. Then, the valley fold line 9b is pushed in the direction of the arrow S by the push-down piece 20, pushes away the free end 21a of the return prevention piece toward the back surface 10c of the receiving box, and then crawls under it, completing one cycle. . The pivot movement (i.e., rocking motion) of the guide plate 12 to assist in folding the recording paper is of course performed in synchronization with the position of the fold line of the recording paper, but the position of the guide plate is changed in this way. Therefore, the folding and storage of the recording paper is carried out reliably from beginning to end. Pivoting movement of the guide plate can be achieved using a variety of drive mechanisms, such as a crank mechanism and a cam mechanism using an electromagnetic mechanism. In the embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 3, the pivoting movement of the guide plate is provided by a crank mechanism. The crank mechanism is operated by a gear 13 fixed to the retraction sprocket 5 or to the shaft 6 supporting it. The rotation of the gear 13 is transmitted to the crank gear 15 via the relay gear 14, causing it to rotate in a driven manner. The ratio of the number of teeth between the gear 13 and the crank gear 15 is determined so that the crank gear 15 makes exactly one revolution when the recording paper is fed by twice its folding width (l). An eccentric pin 16 is attached to the side surface of the crank gear 15, while a support leg 1 is attached to the back surface of the guide plate 12.
A mating pin 17 is provided at a position closer to the tip than 2a (or 12b). The eccentric pin 16 and the mating pin 17 are connected by a link 18. As already mentioned, the feeding sprocket 3 and the feeding sprocket 5 are configured to rotate synchronously through the action of a belt mechanism, etc., so the feeding sprocket can be rotated (whether in the forward or reverse direction). ), the guide plate 12 performs a pivot movement, that is, a rocking movement, in synchronization with this movement. Then, when the feeding sprocket 3 is rotated by a length corresponding to the length of one fold of the recording paper (for example, the length from one mountain fold line 6 to the next mountain fold line: 21), the guide plate 12 will move exactly 1 Perform cycle rocking movements. In this way, the guide plate 12 repeats the rocking motion to perform the folding operation at the mountain fold line 8 or the valley fold line 9b, but as described above, the guide plate 12
When storing b, the guide plate 12 is in the first position,
In addition, in order for the guide plate 12 to be in the second position when storing the mountain fold line 8, the relationship between the rocking movement of the guide plate 12 and the position of the fold of the recording paper must be set correctly. (below,
timing settings).

If the outer circumference of the feeding sprocket 3 is set as described above, the guide plate 12 will move while the sprocket 13 rotates once.
Since the sprocket swings for only one cycle, the timing can be easily set by placing marks on both the feeding sprocket recording paper and aligning the marks on both. For example, according to the example shown in FIG. 5, a triangular notch 7d is formed on one of the folds (for example, the mountain fold line 8) of the recording paper, and a mark is made at a position on the surface of the feeding sprocket 3 that should match the notch 7d. 3d, and when setting a new recording paper, all you have to do is set them so that they match. The same effect can be obtained by providing a colored sprocket pin 3b on the feeding sprocket and attaching a mark 7f near the recording paper feed hole into which the sprocket pin 3b is to fit. When the outer circumferential length of the feeding sprocket 3 is different from the length 21 of one fold of the recording paper, the above-mentioned means cannot be used to set the timing.
FIG. 6 shows timing setting means in such a case. According to this example, a mark 19a is placed at a predetermined position on the frame 19 of the recording device, and a cut 7e is made on one fold (for example, the mountain fold line 8) on the recording paper side, as in the first timing setting means. By attaching , alignment for timing setting is performed. That is, when setting a new recording paper, first the guide plate 12 is placed at the reset position (for example, the first position), and then set so that the notch 7e of the recording paper coincides with the mark 19a. Note that the mark 19a is located at a position experimentally obtained so that when the recording paper is set by such means, the feeding motion of the folded portion of the recording paper and the swinging motion of the guide plate 12 have the best relationship. It is only necessary to attach it to the frame 19, and it is also possible to attach it to a part of the recording device other than the frame 19. In addition, in the above-mentioned Example, the example which comprised the return prevention piece 21 with an elastic material was demonstrated.

When the return prevention piece 21 is made of an elastic material, when the valley fold line 9b portion of the recording paper is pressed down by the push-down piece 20 while contacting the return prevention piece 21, the return prevention piece 21 also touches the back surface of the receiving box 10. 10c side by the valley fold line 9b, and as a result, there is an advantage that the recording paper can be folded easily. However, in the present invention, the return prevention piece does not necessarily have to have elasticity, and may be one that cannot be displaced or deformed. As a modification of the illustrated embodiment, for example, a shaft is fixed within the stroke range of the guide plate 12 on the back surface 10c side of the receiving box 10, a coil portion of a torsion spring is passed through this shaft, and a plate piece is attached to the shaft. It is also possible to use a piece in which the return prevention piece is configured such that the plate piece is rotatably supported and the spring force of a torsion spring is applied to the plate piece. In this way, in the present invention, in addition to the rocking movement of the guide plate, the push-down piece and the return prevention piece operate to create a protected space where the folding operation of the recording sheet is not obstructed by the already folded portion. This allows us to ensure that the recording paper is folded from beginning to end, and we have created a recording device that is as reliable as a roll-winding type when it comes to recording paper storage. be.
