A recording device is often used in which recording paper folded into a bellows shape is fed out from a supply box for recording, sent to a receiving box, and stored while being folded according to the original fold of the recording paper. These types of recording devices include horizontal recording devices in which the recording paper is flattened, fed, and finally folded into a receiving box by the action of gravity, and horizontal recording devices in which the recording paper is arranged vertically (i.e., both edges of the recording paper There is a vertical recording device that gradually feeds the paper (standing upright with one side facing down) and stores it in a receiving box only by this feeding operation. FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the appearance of a commonly used vertical recording device. FIG. 2 schematically shows the internal structure of a conventional example of such a vertical recording device.

In such a vertical recording apparatus, unused recording paper 7 stored in a supply box 1 is continuously fed out by a feeding sprocket 3, and recording is performed by a recording pen 4. After recording, this recording paper 7
is sent to the back of the recording device and fed into the receiver box 10 by a feed-in sprocket 5 attached near the entrance of the receiver box. Recording paper 7 is in supply box 1
It is neatly folded while being stored in a box, and the folds are usually perforated and have alternating mountain and valley folds. Therefore, the recording sheets 7 fed into the receiving box 10 are folded and stored one after another according to the folding pattern. In order to ensure such folding and storage, the shapes of the receiving box guide surface 10d and the recording paper presser 11 near the receiving box entrance 10a are important factors, and various proposals have been made to improve this point. has been done. For example, the special public official court in 1977-
No. 36702 discloses a technique for improving this receiving box entrance. However, even if some improvements are made to the entrance of the receiving box, a situation may arise in which the above-mentioned folding and storage cannot be performed reliably for various reasons as will be described later. In other words, the mountain fold line 8, which should originally be bent as shown by the solid line A in FIG. Original valley fold line 9
Even though it should be, it happens that it becomes like a mountain line and bends in the opposite direction. Furthermore, when most of the recording paper 7 has been stored in the receiving box 10 and the area near the end of the recording paper has entered the receiving box, the portion near the end of the recording paper has already been folded into the receiving box 10. It is pushed in while being subjected to a strong push back force. In particular, the valley fold line 9 comes in contact with the guide surface 10d of the receiving box 10, and the guide surface 10d rubs as it advances, but generally this guide surface does not extend smoothly from the feeding sprocket 5, so the recording paper The force of pushing the valley fold line 9 toward the side surface 10c of the receiver box is insufficient by the repeated feeding, and as a result, the valley fold line 9 bends in a manner that buckles at parts other than the crease, causing the valley fold line 9 to progress. The problem arises that the process stops midway. In a vertical recording apparatus, the recording paper is stored only in accordance with the feeding operation of the recording paper and does not use any force such as gravity, so such jamming of the recording paper is likely to occur. Further, as a result of research, it has been found that the above-mentioned reverse folding phenomenon of recording paper is caused by the following factors. First, because the feeding speed of the recording paper 7 is low (approximately 20 mm per hour),
The problem is that the fold lines 8 and 9 disappear from the feeding sprocket 3 until it is folded in the receiving box 10, and the bent lines are formed. In particular, this tendency becomes even more pronounced when the usage environment is hot and humid. Secondly, when the recording paper is fed in from the vicinity of the receiving box entrance 10a toward the back, the traveling direction of the mountain fold line 8 and the valley fold line 9 should be clearly different, but the second As is clear from the figure, the structure near the entrance 10a is a compromise fixed structure that can be moderately adapted to both mountain fold lines and valley fold lines, and the direction of travel is regulated by the folding of the recording paper. However, it was huge. However, since there is a considerable distance for the fold line part of the recording paper to reach the back from the entrance 10a, there is a problem in that the fold line is once fully extended in the middle and reverse folding occurs when the paper is folded next time. This tendency was especially strong when the receiving box 10 was almost empty.

Although the above-mentioned problems were often seen in horizontal recording devices (in which the recording paper is folded relatively correctly due to the influence of gravity in storage), it was a particularly serious problem in vertical recording devices.
For this reason, some vertical recording devices use roll-up recording paper instead of folding recording paper, and are equipped with a roll-type winding mechanism for more reliable storage, even though it is inconvenient for checking and storing recorded data. The reality was to avoid such problems.

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 3 is a plan view showing the internal mechanism of a recording device as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, which has been improved by applying the present invention. This recording device is connected to each other by a gear mechanism (or timing belt mechanism: neither is shown) and a synchronous motor in order to take recording paper 7 from a supply box 1 and continuously send it to a receiving box 10. It has a feeding sprocket 3 and a feeding sprocket 5 which are connected to a driving source such as the following. The feeding sprocket 3 has sprocket pins 3b on its outer periphery to engage with feed holes provided in a row on both sides of the recording paper 7, and two sprocket pins 3b are installed, each positioned near both sides of the recording paper. It is being The feeding sprocket 5 also has pins 5a (see FIG. 5) on its outer periphery that engage with feed holes provided in the recording paper 7, two of which are positioned near each side of the recording paper and rotated about the shaft 6. Possibly supported. A recording paper guide plate 12 (hereinafter referred to as a guide plate) attached to the shaft 6 via support legs 12a and 12b is pivotally supported, and this guide plate 12 is mounted on the inner wall of the recording apparatus so as to face the shaft 6. A narrow gap is created as a recording paper path between the shaft of the provided sprocket and a recording paper presser 11 made of parallel protrusions, and the entrance 10a of the receiving box is opened.

The relationship between the guide plate 12 and the receiving box 10 is shown in FIG.
It is represented in the figure. As is clear from this figure, the guide plate 12 constitutes a guide surface of the receiving box. However, this guide surface is not of a fixed structure like the guide surface 10d shown in FIG. 2, but can pivot downwardly about the axis 6 from the position shown in FIG. Further, as is clear from the figure, the guide plate 12 is bent to form a part of a substantially cylindrical side surface, and the center of the curved surface is located at the hole 12 formed in the ear of the guide plate support legs 12a, 12b.
c, 12d. Slot holes 12e and 12f are bored at both ends of the guide plate 12, and the pin 5a of the retracting sprocket 5 projects through these slot holes. This pin 5a
engages with the feed hole of the recording paper 7 transferred from the feeding sprocket 3, and feeds the recording paper into the receiving box 10 along the surface of the guide plate 12. Then, the retraction sprocket 5 continues to rotate and its pin 5
When the recording paper a is pulled into the slot holes 12e and 12f of the guide plate 12, the recording paper is separated from the feeding sprocket.

In FIG. 3, the upper limit position (hereinafter referred to as the first position) and the lower limit position (hereinafter referred to as the second position) of the guide plate 12 that can pivot about the axis 6 are shown.
are shown by solid and dotted lines, respectively.
The first position of the guide plate 12 is such that the valley fold line 9 is aligned with the back surface 10 of the receiving box, as shown in the recording paper 7b indicated by a solid line.
This is the optimal position for feeding in the direction c. When the guide plate 12 is in this position, the space inside the receiving box is at its widest, so even if the receiving box is almost full, the valley fold line 9 will continue along the guide plate to the rear surface 10c of the receiving box. The folding along this valley fold line can be successfully performed until the end. On the other hand, the second position of the guide plate 12 is the optimum position for feeding the mountain fold line 8, such as the recording paper 7c shown by the dotted line in FIG. 3, toward the bottom surface 10b of the receiving box. In this second position, the guide plate 12 protrudes to an intermediate position within the receiving box, so even if the starting end of the recording sheet is fed into the receiving box, the mountain fold line 12
To properly fold a recording paper by preventing it from being reversely folded toward the back surface 10c of a receiving box. Furthermore, even when the recording paper is near the end and the receiving box is almost full, the guide plate 12 may be folded while pivoting (swinging) from the first position to the second position. Place the recording paper that came in on the bottom of the receiving box 10b.
The paper is pressed in the direction of , which expands the space and helps the mountain fold line 8 to advance, so that the folding of the recording paper is performed well until the end. The pivot movement of the guide plate 12 as described above is of course performed in synchronization with the position of the fold of the recording paper, but by changing the position of the guide plate in this way, the folding and storage of the recording paper can be carried out from the beginning to the end. It will definitely be done.

Pivoting movement of the guide plate can be achieved using a variety of drive mechanisms, such as a crank mechanism, a cam mechanism, or an electromagnetic mechanism. In the embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 3, the pivot movement of the guide plate is performed by a crank mechanism, and in order to make the crank mechanism easier to understand, a schematic diagram of the mechanism is shown in FIG. It is shown. This crank mechanism is operated by a gear 13 fixed to the retraction sprocket 5 or to the shaft 6 supporting it. gear 1
3 is rotated by the crank gear 1 via the relay gear 14.
5 is driven to rotate. The ratio of the number of teeth between the gear 13 and the crank gear 15 is such that when the recording paper is fed by twice the folding width (l), the crank gear 15
is determined so that it makes exactly one revolution. An eccentric pin 16 is attached to the side surface of the crank gear 15, while a support leg 12a is attached to the back surface of the guide plate 12.
A mating pin 17 is provided at a position closer to the tip than (or 12b). The eccentric pin 16 and the mating pin 17 are connected by a link 18. As already mentioned, the feeding sprocket 3 and the feeding sprocket 5 are configured to rotate synchronously through the action of a belt mechanism, etc., so the feeding sprocket can be rotated (whether in the forward or reverse direction). ), the guide plate 12 performs a pivot movement, that is, a rocking movement, in synchronization with this movement. Then, when the feeding sprocket 3 is rotated by a length corresponding to the length of one fold of the recording paper (for example, the length from one mountain fold line 8 to the next mountain fold line: 2l), the guide plate 12 will move exactly 1 Perform cycle rocking movements.

In this way, the guide plate 12 repeats the rocking motion to perform the folding operation at the mountain fold line 8 or the valley fold line 9, but as described above, when the valley fold line 9 is stored, the guide plate 12 is in the first position, In addition, in order for the guide plate 12 to be in the second position when storing the mountain fold line 8, the relationship between the rocking movement of the guide plate 12 and the position of the fold of the recording paper must be set correctly. (hereinafter referred to as timing setting). This timing setting can be accomplished by several means in the present invention.

FIG. 6 shows the first timing setting means, which is effective in a recording apparatus in which the outer circumferential length of the feeding sprocket 3 is set equal to the length 2l of one fold of recording paper. It is. If the outer periphery of the feeding sprocket 3 is set as described above, the guide plate 12 will swing for one cycle during one rotation of the sprocket 13, so the timing setting is done by setting marks on both the feeding sprocket and the recording paper. This can be easily done by attaching marks and aligning both marks. For example, according to the example shown in FIG. 6, a triangular notch 7d is formed on one of the folds (for example, the mountain fold line 8) of the recording paper, and a mark is placed on the surface of the feeding sprocket 3 to match the notch 7d. 3d, and when setting a new recording paper, all you have to do is set them so that they match. The same effect can be obtained by providing a colored sprocket pin 3b on the feeding sprocket and attaching a mark 7f near the recording paper feed hole into which the sprocket pin 3b is to fit.

When the outer circumference length of the feeding sprocket 3 is different from the length 2l of one fold of the recording paper, the above-mentioned means cannot be used to set the timing. FIG. 7 shows timing setting means in such a case. According to this example, a mark 19a is placed at a predetermined position on the frame 19 of the recording device, and a cut 7e is made on one fold (for example, the mountain fold line 8) on the recording paper side, as in the first timing setting means. By attaching , alignment for timing setting is performed. That is, when setting a new recording paper, first the guide plate 12 is placed at the reset position (for example, the first position) and then set so that the notch 7e of the recording paper coincides with the mark 19a. Note that the mark 19a is located at a position experimentally obtained so that when the recording paper is set by such means, the feeding motion of the folded portion of the recording paper and the swinging motion of the guide plate 12 have the best relationship. It is only necessary to attach it to the frame 19, and it is also possible to attach it to a part of the recording device other than the frame 19.

By the way, in a recording device that uses folded recording paper, the applicant has provided a receiving box for storing the recorded portion of the recording paper, and a device near the entrance of the receiving box for feeding the recording paper into the receiving box. It consists of a retractable sprocket, a swingable blade with a slit, a driving gear installed on the sprocket, and a driven gear with a pin that meshes with this driving gear. The pin is
The sprocket is loosely fitted into the slit of the blade in order to transmit the rotational force of the shaft of the sprocket to the blade, so that the blade protrudes into the receiver box at a first position and retracts out of the receiver box at a second position. Japanese Patent No. 1181700 (see Japanese Patent Publication No. 58-12185) has already proposed a recording device capable of pivoting between the two positions. However, in the recording device of this prior application, as a result of repeated various experiments, the blade performs a swinging motion to accommodate the recorded portion of the recording paper and applies a folding force to the recording paper. However, since the blade applies folding force by making line contact with the recording paper (so-called blade contact), there is an imbalance in the folding force between the part of the recording paper that makes line contact with the blade and the part that does not make contact with the blade. It has been found that there is a drawback in that the recording paper is not folded properly as intended.

In the present invention, as is clear from FIG. 5, the guide plate 12 is arranged so that its surface is along the axis 6 of the retracting sprocket 5, so that it can come into surface contact with the recorded portion of the recording paper. It's getting old.
Therefore, the guide plate 12 can apply an average folding force to the surface of the recording paper through surface contact, so that the folding force is generated in a well-balanced manner on the recording paper.
As a result, the recording paper can be folded properly.
