Among synthetic resin-coated steel sheets, vinyl chloride resin-coated steel sheets can withstand bending, punching, deep drawing, etc., and can be coated with a thick film, so they have excellent weather resistance and corrosion resistance, and are expected to be used in a wide range of applications. However, since it contains a plasticizer, there is a problem with surface hardness.
To improve this, for example, the amount of plasticizer in vinyl chloride resin dispersion paints is often reduced, using solvents, or blending fine resins such as acrylic resins.

However, for exterior applications, a thick coating (100 to 300 μm) is required for the purpose of imparting weather resistance and corrosion resistance. This results in the problem of not being able to obtain a uniform coating film.In addition, coatings made of vinyl chloride resin are susceptible to dirt and dust adhering to them when exposed outdoors, making them susceptible to contamination and deteriorating the aesthetic appearance (R). However, the advantages of vinyl chloride resin dispersion paints can be used as they are for exterior applications, and they have improved painting workability and
If a dispersion-type paint that can improve the surface hardness of a coating film without impairing coating performance and provide a coated surface with excellent resistance to exposure and staining could be produced, it would greatly benefit the industry.

As a result of various studies in view of the above, we have found that the above-mentioned vinyl chloride resin dispersion paint has a particle size of 3 to 100μ and a Mohs hardness of 2 to 14. The present invention was completed after finding out that a vinyl chloride resin dispersion paint characterized by containing 10 to less than 100 parts (by weight) of vinyl chloride resins satisfies the purpose of the invention very well.

This is because if the particle size is too small, the object of the invention will not be achieved, and if the particle size is too large, exceeding 100 microns, a uniform coating will not be obtained.

In order to increase the surface hardness, it is possible to increase the amount of filler (it is desirable to increase the amount, but if too much is added, it will not be possible to achieve a uniform coating in continuous coating work, and it will also affect the exterior appearance in terms of coating film performance. It is inappropriate to use it repeatedly. Therefore, the upper limit is limited to about 100 PHR.

The inorganic filler and the paint can be mixed using a conventional high speed stirrer and stored as a mixture, or the inorganic filler can be mixed into the paint before application. If the vinyl chloride resin dispersion paint is sufficiently mixed, it will not settle in a short period of time because it has viscosity. (When storing, it is particularly preferable to use a base sol paint with a high viscosity relative to sedimentation properties and a filler with a specific gravity of 3.0 or less.) The baked coating film of the paint of the present invention is When compared to a sol coating film, the gloss tends to decrease when the amount of particulate inorganic material is large, but the coating film has a marketable feel and does not pose any problem. In addition, the coating film has better moisture permeability than ordinary sol coatings without impairing processability.
