2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there are various types of coating materials having a design property, and among them, multicolored patterns, especially natural stones and natural stone-like coating materials, have been favorably used since the recent boom of natural regression. Such coating materials include synthetic resin as a binder mixed with colored aggregates, flake-like aggregates such as mica, and aggregates obtained by coloring them, and exhibit various patterns. There are many. For example, JP-A-49-330 discloses a method for producing a multicolored painted surface having irregularities.
A method is disclosed in which an opaque coating material mixed with colored particles is applied in an uneven shape, and after drying, a part of the convex portion is removed to expose the embedded colored particles. In addition, Tokuhei 2
Japanese Patent No. -40702 discloses a coating composition that forms a natural stone pattern by mixing a colorant having a specific particle size and an aggregate having a specific light transmittance with a binder that forms an almost colorless and transparent film when dried. It has been disclosed. Each of these coating materials gives a colorful pattern by using colored particles. On the other hand, Japanese Patent Publication No. 2-22028 discloses, as a stone pattern finishing method, a method of spraying a coating material containing a specific size of a colored mica at a specific compounding ratio with a spray or a roller. Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 63-184652 discloses, as an interior material, a scaly aggregate composed of a resin emulsion composition in which a specific fibrous fine powder, a filler such as calcium carbonate and aluminum hydroxide, and a pigment are blended. What disperses and adheres to materials is disclosed. These use colored scaly aggregates. Among the coating materials that form such a multicolored pattern, those that use scaly aggregates can have a particle size of about several mm, and have the advantage that a large pattern can be formed with a thin film.

However, when a trowel is used to apply a coating material using these scaly aggregates, the scaly aggregates having a particle size of several mm or more are contained. In the coating material, the scaly aggregate does not disperse smoothly,
The spreadability of the coating material during ironing, that is, the spread is poor, the required amount of coating material per specific area increases,
In an extreme case, the coating material was dragged on the base material, and a portion where the coating material was not applied was sometimes formed.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve such a problem, the present inventors have made intensive studies, and after coating the flake-like aggregate-containing coating material, have further added spherical particles having a specific particle size. A method of improving the elongation at the time of ironing by adding the iron was found, and a coating material having such a composition was invented. That is, A. 3 to 150 parts by weight of synthetic resin in solid content; The particle size is 2 mm~20mm, the thickness 0.05mm~1
B. 40 to 200 parts by weight of scaly aggregates of C.mm. It is characterized in that it contains 8 to 60 parts by weight of true spherical beads having a particle size of 10 to 100 µm, and the ratio of A: B is 4: 1 to 1:20. As the synthetic resin of the present invention, acrylic, vinyl acetate-
Synthetic resin emulsions such as acrylic, acryl-styrene, vinyl acetate-veova, water-soluble resins such as alkyd, phenol, amino, and acrylic, solvents such as polyurethane, epoxy, acrylic, and alkyd Shape resin and the like can be used. Next, the particle size is 2 mm to 2 mm.
0 mm, the scale-like aggregate having a thickness of 0.05 mm to 1 mm can be used regardless of whether it is inorganic or organic. For example, mica,
Resin flakes, metal flakes, wood flakes, porcelain flakes, and the like, and those colored on the surface thereof. In the case of resin flakes, those obtained by thinning and crushing a resin composition obtained by kneading a coloring pigment, fiber, or the like are also included. Such a method for producing a resin flake is, for example, as described in JP-A-63-184652, coating a colored resin composition on a releasable base,
This is passed through a high-temperature heating zone, the coating layer is dried to form a sheet having a thickness of 10 to 100 μ, and peeled from the base,
At the same time, the sheet may be crushed by applying an appropriate external force to the sheet. When the thickness of the scaly aggregate is larger than 1 mm or when the particle size is larger than 20 mm, the effect of adding the beads is not exhibited, so that the elongation at the time of ironing becomes poor. Glass beads, resin beads, and those whose surfaces are colored can be used regardless of whether they are organic or inorganic. As for the resin beads, a resin containing a color pigment may be formed into a true spherical shape. The diameter of these spherical beads is 10μ
If the diameter is smaller, the effect of adding the beads is not exhibited, and the elongation at the time of ironing becomes poor. On the other hand, if it is larger than 100 μm, the irregularities of the beads on the surface of the coating film are conspicuous and lead to a reduction in design. The mixing ratio of these components is such that the solid content of the synthetic resin is 50 parts by weight, the scaly aggregate is 40 to 200 parts by weight, and the spherical beads are 8 to 60 parts by weight. At this time, if the scale-like aggregate is less than 40 parts by weight, the proportion of the resin in the whole becomes large, the base material is seen through, and the natural stone feeling is impaired. On the other hand, if it is more than 200 parts by weight, it cannot be uniformly mixed in the resin, and the addition effect of the beads does not appear, so the elongation at the time of ironing is poor,
Adhesion with the base is also reduced. When the amount of the spherical beads is less than 8 parts by weight, the flake-like aggregate does not disperse smoothly and forms a coating film in a dense mass, so that a smooth surface cannot be obtained. If the amount is more than 60 parts by weight, the coating film becomes coarse and the water resistance decreases. In the case of transparent resin beads, 60
When the amount is more than the weight part, the degree of refraction of light becomes large, and as a result, the coating film becomes whitish, which leads to a decrease in design. In addition to the above components, additives such as a plasticizer, a thickener, a drying regulator, an antifoaming agent and the like, which are usually used for a coating material, can be added to the composition of the present invention. However, when these are blended, the viscosity of the coating material needs to be in a range that can be ironed, and it is usually desirable that the viscosity be 100 to 1500 poise.

The reason why the coating material of the present invention is excellent in ironing workability is not clear, but as for the scale-like aggregate, as shown in FIG. 1, when the ironing is performed, the aggregates collide with each other at the edge portion. In addition, the frictional resistance increases, and in extreme cases, the whole coating material slips on the base material, and it is thought that there is a part that is not applied, and the combination of the spherical beads reduces the frictional resistance. It is thought that there is.

【Example】 With such a composition, a base coating material of the coating material of the present invention was produced. At this time, the viscosity of the base was 450 poise. Using this base coating material, the pigment volume concentration shown in Table 1, that is, the percentage of the pigment volume in the total volume of the coating film (hereinafter referred to as PVC), the particle size, the thickness of the colored pigment-containing resin strip, and the transparency Resin beads were added according to the formulation in Table 2. As shown in FIG. 2, this coating material was formed into a frame shape by attaching a joint rod having a width of 10 mm and a thickness of 5 mm to the edge of a slate plate of 20 × 20 cm, and the coating material was applied with a trowel. At this time, the uniformity of the thickness of the coating film, the smoothness of the surface, the transparency of the coating film, the whitening of the coating film, the extension of the iron, and the water resistance when immersed in water were evaluated. The results of the evaluation are shown in Table 3. (Examples 2 to 3) Aggregates and beads were blended and evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the particle size and thickness of the flaky aggregate were as shown in Table 1. (Examples 4 and 5) A coating material was manufactured and evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the amounts of the aggregate and beads with respect to the base were as shown in Table 2. (Comparative Examples 1 to 4) Coating materials were manufactured and evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the amounts of the aggregate and beads with respect to the base were as shown in Table 2. (Comparative Examples 5 to 6) A coating material was produced and evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the particle size and thickness of the flaky aggregate were as shown in Table 1. (Comparative Examples 7 and 8) A coating material was produced and evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the diameter of the beads was as shown in Table 1.

As is clear from the examples and comparative examples, a coating material in which a specific amount of a flaky aggregate having a specific particle size and a specific thickness and beads having a specific particle size are mixed with a resin in a specific amount is a normal scale material. Compared to the coating material containing flake-like aggregate, it is excellent in ironing workability and can disperse relatively large scale-like aggregate uniformly.
The scaly aggregates can be appropriately overlapped to give a subtle design feeling, and when a resin flake containing a color pigment is used as the scaly aggregate, a multicolored feeling can be exhibited.
