能なフィルタ４を排気通路の容器３内に設け、該フィル
タの上流側にて該フィルタに近接又は密着してセラミッ
クヒータ９を配置し、該ヒータへの通電により前記フィ
ルタに付着した排気パーティキュレートを着火・燃焼せ
しめるディーゼルエンジンの排気ガス浄化装置において
、前記フィルタ４の止流側周縁に円周方向の段部４ａを
形成して中央部４ｂが上流側に突出した形状とし、該段
部に配置した環状の保持手段５．６によりフィルタを容
器３内に固定すると共に、平板状の前記セラミックヒー
タ９をフィルタ中央部に近接又は密着する如く前記保持
手段の上流側に設けた絶縁体１０，１１により支持する
