Many adhesives used to join dried veneers harden instantly and exhibit adhesive strength, but adhesives for so-called green veneers with a moisture content of around 80 do not harden quickly. There are only a limited number of adhesives available, such as moisture-curable urethane resin adhesives that require several minutes to exhibit adhesive strength.

In other words, since the adhesive is attached to the surface of the joint of the veneers, when the joined veneers are cut into a certain length and stacked, the stacked veneers will be glued together, and when peeled off. It takes time and effort to remove the veneer, and the veneer may tear if removed forcibly.

When joining veneers using the adhesive described above, the present invention takes into account the location where the adhesive is to be applied, and also takes other measures until the adhesive hardens and exhibits adhesive strength. The problem described in t was solved by maintaining the state in which a plurality of veneers continued to form a veneer of a constant length, that is, the initial bonding relationship position, and by considering the stacking method. Let's explain by example.

Nozzle 5A. 5B performs an operation of spraying the adhesive 19 toward the rear end of the veneer on the carry-out conveyor 2 once every time the phototube 4 changes from a blocked state to an unblocked state; The spraying agent 19 is operated by the nozzle 5.
Only one of the nozzles A and 5B performs the spraying, and each time the veneer hits the fixed length detection limit switch 22 provided on the lower side of the unloading conveyor 2, the spraying is performed by one of the nozzles that was in operation. The switch E associated with the limit switch 22 is configured so that the nozzle is stopped and the other nozzle is allowed to operate.

At this time, since the stacking table 16 moves horizontally after depositing the fixed-length veneer 20, even if the next fixed-length veneer 20' is deposited, the adhesive on the surface of the fixed-length veneer 20 has not yet hardened. As described above, in the above-mentioned embodiment, when joining green veneers, the adhesive 19 is applied to a location offset to the left or right side in the direction of movement of the first veneer, and the green veneer is bonded with the thread 7. While keeping the boards in close contact, the joined green veneers are cut every time the length reaches a certain length, and the adhesive 19 is applied alternately to the left and right sides in the direction of movement of the green veneers. After the changed and joined regular-length veneers are stacked on the stacking table 16, the stacking table 16 is alternately moved to the side of the regular-length veneers to which the adhesive 19 is attached.

In the drying process, hot air at around 150 degrees Celsius is normally blown onto the green veneer to dry it. Hot melt melts at around 120 degrees Celsius, and the threads 7 will peel off, but the adhesive 19 will exhibit sufficient adhesion. Therefore, the bonded state will not collapse.

That is, in the above example, a thread coated with hot melt was used to maintain the tightness of the raw veneer of a fixed length, but a cut was made with a knife or the like on the end or surface of the raw veneer. On the other hand, the adhesive 19 is deposited at one location on the left and right side of the blade edge in the direction of travel of the veneer in the example, but as shown in FIG. 7, it is deposited at several locations on one end side. At this time, the side of the fixed length veneer to which the adhesive 19 is attached may be pushed out by an appropriate amount, and the adhesive 19 may be deposited without adhering to other veneers.

As described above, in the present invention, when veneers are bonded using an adhesive that takes some time to harden and exhibit adhesive strength, and the adhesive is deposited after being cut to a certain length, the adhesive hardens. Until then, other means are used to maintain the state in which multiple veneers continue to form a veneer of a certain length, that is, the close contact state of the green veneers, so the veneers are separated. Don't let it happen.

Further, the adhesive is attached only to one end side of the veneer,
Moreover, each time the total length of the joined veneers becomes constant, the adhesive is alternately applied to the other end of the veneer,
When the veneer is deposited one by one, the parts of the veneer to which the adhesive is not attached overlap.
There is no problem caused by the adhesive adhering to the upper or lower veneer.
