Due to its nature, veneer has a high tensile strength in the direction of the fibers, but its tensile strength in the direction perpendicular to the fiber direction is extremely small. It has been attempted to reinforce wire materials such as threads with adhesives attached to them. However, when cutting a continuous reinforced veneer into regular lengths and stacking them one after another, it is necessary to rely on single-sided tape with adhesive applied to one side, and it is not recommended to use double-sided tape or adhesive thread. It was difficult. This is because the double-sided tape adheres to both the top and bottom of the veneer, making it difficult to peel them off and take them out, and even if it is successfully removed, the double-sided tape will stick to both the top and bottom of the veneer. This is because it cannot be determined whether the adhesive will adhere to the surface and be taken out, causing inconvenience in processing in the subsequent process. Also, in the case of adhesive thread, the attached adhesive will accumulate without being completely confirmed. This is because problems similar to those of the double-sided tape arise.

However, this is not to say that there are no problems with single-sided tape; however, single-sided tape has the following problems. In other words, since single-sided tape literally has adhesive applied to only one side, it is necessary to reliably maintain the positional relationship between the adhesive-applied side and the non-adhesive-applied side.
This measure to prevent twisting is quite complicated and causes a decrease in work efficiency.

In order to solve this problem, the present invention aims to use uncured adhesives that can bond two sides, such as double-sided tape and adhesive thread, which are easier to handle than single-sided tapes, as reinforcing materials for veneers. The basis of this is that the two surfaces are deposited with a difference in adhesive strength. That is, in the present invention, when a veneer is deposited via an uncured adhesive that can bond two surfaces, the end of the adhesive is attached to one of the upper and lower surfaces of the veneer to be deposited. The method is characterized in that the veneer is adhered only to the veneer, and then the veneer is sequentially peeled off from the end side.

FIG. 1 shows an apparatus for carrying out the present invention.
A is a veneer lace, B is an adhesive thread attachment device, C is a regular length cutting device, and D is a veneer deposition device. This veneer lace A, like the veneer lace shown in JP-A No. 53-91499, for example, has both a chuck 2 that pivotally supports the log 1 and a drive roll 4 equipped with a piercing body that pierces the outer periphery of the log 1. From this, a veneer 8, which is a so-called outer circumferential drive type veneer race that supplies driving force from the raw wood, and whose surface has been subjected to a tenderizing process by the piercing body, is cut. A plurality of these piercing bodies are arranged in the axial direction on the outer periphery of the drive roll 4, and a narrow nose bar 5 is arranged between each piercing body. Note that 3 in the figure is a knife.

On the downstream side of this adhesive thread attachment device B, there is provided a fixed length cutting device C for cutting the continuously fed veneer 8 into fixed lengths, such as the cutting device disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 53-8387. . In the figure, reference numerals 12 and 13 denote rolls that are continuously driven. Immediately after the unloading side of the rolls 12 and 13, the cutting edge faces upward and the cutting edge moves from the circumferential surface of one roll 12 to the other around the rotation axis. A cutting blade 14 that reciprocates is arranged on the circumferential surface of one of the rolls 13, and the veneer 8 is cut every time the cutting blade 14 comes into contact with the circumferential surface of one of the rolls. Cutting blade 1
4 are provided with carry-out conveyors 16 and 17 on the lower and lower sides, respectively, and limit switches 18 and 19 are disposed on the way to each conveyor 16 and 17 at a location separated by a certain length from the cutting blade 14. Each time the tip of the veneer 8 hits 18 or 19, the cutting blade 14 is linked by an electric circuit so that it rotates in one direction. It is needless to say that when the veneer is cut, the adhesive thread 7' attached to the top surface of the veneer is also cut.

Both sides of the veneer being transported are supported by two support members that can be opened and closed, and limit switches 24 and 25 are installed.
In synchronization with the signal emitted every time a veneer comes into contact with the veneer, the supporting member moves outward perpendicular to the veneer transport direction, drops the supported veneer onto the stacking table 22, and then returns to its original position. It is linked by an electrical circuit so that it returns to its position. The stacking table 22 is also controlled by the cylinder 23 to move back and forth in one direction each time the support body 26 is operated.

In the apparatus configured as described above, the continuous veneer 8 cut by the veneer lace A is progressed while being attached with adhesive threads 7' at a plurality of places by the pressure roll 15, and cut to a fixed length. Sent to device B. In the fixed length cutting device B, the cutting blade 14 has both rolls 12 and 13.
Since the cutting blade 14 operates one-way within the opposing interval of Veneer 8 will proceed,
In the state shown in FIG. 1, it is guided onto the carry-out conveyor 17. When the tip of the veneer 8 hits the limit switch 19, the cutting blade 14 is rotated upward in response to the signal, and the veneer 8 is cut to a regular length.

The fixed-length veneer cut through the above steps advances onto the support 26 via the carry-out conveyor 17, and when its tip hits the limit switch 25, the support 26 moves outward in response to the signal, and the fixed-length veneer is cut to the specified length. The veneer falls onto the stacking table 22. Thereafter, the stacking table 22 moves forward in one direction in the direction in which the veneers travel by the action of the cylinder 23, and waits until the next fixed-length veneer falls.

On the other hand, the subsequent continuous veneer 8 cut by the cutting blade 14 is changed in its course by the cutting blade 14 and advances onto the lower delivery conveyor 16, and when it hits the limit switch 18 as described above, it is synchronized with the signal. The cutting blade 14 is rotated downward, and cutting to a fixed length is performed.
Then, the veneers cut into regular lengths are sent to the support 26 in the same manner as described above, and are deposited on the stacking table 22 by opening and closing the support 26. Next, the stacking table 22 moves forward in one direction in the advancing direction of the veneer by the action of the cylinder 23.

Next, the subsequent portion of the continuous veneer 8 cut by the cutting blade 14 advances again onto the carry-out conveyor 17, where it is cut to a fixed length in the same manner as described above and stacked on the stacking table 22. Then, the stacking table 22 moves one way backward in the direction of movement, contrary to the previous time, and waits until the next stacking.

By repeating the above-described operations, the fixed-length veneers 10 having the adhesive threads 7' attached to their upper surfaces are successively deposited on the two stacking tables 22 and 23. At that time, each time one regular-length veneer 10 is deposited, the stacking table 22 is moved back and forth one way, so that the deposited regular-length veneer is moved forward and backward one by one as shown in FIG. It becomes a protruding state.
By sequentially stacking the fixed-length veneers 10 with the adhesive threads 7' attached to their upper surfaces, the adhesive threads 7' interposed between the stacked fixed-length veneers 10
It will be glued to both the top and bottom surfaces of 0. However, each fixed-length veneer 10 is stacked in a zigzag pattern as described above, and from the viewpoint of the adhesive thread attached to each veneer, one end of the veneer is attached to the bottom surface of the veneer stacked upward. It will not be glued.

The fixed-length veneers deposited in this manner have extremely high moisture content because they have just been cut, and therefore, after the adhesive bonded to the veneers 10 has hardened, they are taken out one by one and placed in a dryer. is dried.
That is, when one end of the veneer 10 is pulled upward as shown in FIG. Since the adhesive is longer on the upper surface of the veneer, if the adhesive force per unit length is constant, the adhesive force on the lower veneer is naturally greater, and the upper veneer is bonded to the lower surface. It is separated from the bonding thread 7' and pulled up. Needless to say, the adhesive thread 7' is bonded to the upper surface of the pulled up veneer.

In the above embodiment, the adhesive threads 7' are attached to the upper surface of the continuous veneer 8, but the adhesive threads 7' may be attached to the lower surface of the continuous veneer 8 and deposited in the same manner as described above. Furthermore, it is possible to obtain similar effects by using other wire rods or double-sided tape in place of the adhesive thread 7'. Alternatively, it is possible to attach, cut, and deposit the adhesive material as described above, or furthermore, it is also possible to cut the end length veneer after cutting it to size, join it together with the adhesive material, and then cut and deposit it. . Note that the adhesive is not limited to a wet curing adhesive,
It may be a thermoplastic adhesive or a thermosetting adhesive.

Next, FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the stacking method according to the present invention, in which adhesive threads 7' are bonded to the upper surface of the fixed length veneers 10 without stacking the fixed length veneers 10 in a zigzag pattern. A release paper 11 is sandwiched between the end of the veneer and the veneer above it, and the veneer is stacked in an orderly manner. When taking out veneers one by one from a group of veneers accumulated in this way, the end of the adhesive thread 7' is glued longer to the top surface of the lower veneer than to the bottom surface of the upper veneer, so the veneer It can be taken out with the adhesive thread 7' attached to the top surface.

Since the present invention stacks the veneers in the manner described above, when taking out the veneers one by one, simply pulling the end of the veneer upwards reliably deposits the veneers on a predetermined surface (for example, the second
The veneer can be peeled off with the adhesive attached to the top surface (in Figures 1 and 3), and the removal process of the veneer is comparable to that of single-sided tape. In fact, in the process of bonding uncured adhesive materials, the present invention, which can be carried out without worrying about the relationship between the front and back sides, has better workability than the case of single-sided tape. Considering the entire process of depositing the veneer and then removing the veneer, it is much easier to process the veneer using the present invention, which uses a double-sided adhesive.
