By the way, as shown in FIG. 1, a conventional conveyor device generally used in a drying oven for welding rods has endless conveyor devices 1, 11, and 21 stacked in a heat medium atmosphere in a drying oven 3. Welding rods 2 transferred by a conveyor device 1 are dried and sequentially transferred to a lower conveyor, transferred to a belt conveyor 21, and taken out.

These conveyors are used as holding means for drying the welding rod 2 by exposing it to a dry atmosphere for a certain period of time while conveying the welding rod 2 at an appropriate speed.

In addition, in such a multi-stage conveyor device in a drying oven, the aeration surface is reversed every time the welding rod 2 is transferred to the lower conveyor.
Although it is constructed so as to obtain a uniform drying state, it is not always possible to perform proper inversion.

Moreover, since such a conveyor device transfers the welding rod 2 to the lower conveyor by gravity, undried coating material may peel off or damage the coating surface during transfer.

Furthermore, if these multi-stage conveyor devices are not configured to smoothly transfer the welding rods 2, they may become clogged during transportation, reducing work efficiency and increasing the number of defective products.

Therefore, instead of using a multi-stage transfer type conveyor system in the welding rod drying furnace, it is better to use a single conveyor system that eliminates transfers and has multiple stages of a low-speed transfer type to improve drying efficiency and product yield. I thought it could be improved.

The present invention was developed in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to reduce the size of the drying oven by applying a space-saving conveyance device to the drying oven.
Allows the installation of a multi-layer single conveyor device in the drying oven,
The present invention also aims to provide a drying oven that has high thermal efficiency and that produces welding rods of excellent quality.

The configuration of the present invention that achieves this object is a drying furnace that is provided with a multi-stage welding rod conveying device that is provided so as to penetrate through the inside of the drying furnace, and the conveying device has a rotation axis that is substantially vertical. The gist is that two conveyor chains rotated in a direction connecting the inlet and the outlet by two sets of multi-stage sprockets supported by the conveyor chain are constructed so that the two conveyor chains lie in the same horizontal plane. It is something.

In other words, the conveying device of the present invention supports only both ends of the welding rod 2, and conveys the welding rod 2 using two chain conveyors stretched along the supporting direction, so that the outer circumferential surface of the welding rod 2 is almost open. Moreover, since the transfer occurs in one direction, the heat medium in the drying oven 3 is effectively contacted.

Furthermore, the running positions of the chains 9a and 9b are formed so that they pass through the inside of the drying oven, but considering thermal efficiency and thermal expansion on the chains 9a and 9b, as shown by the dashed line in FIG. It is also possible to surround the outer wall of the drying oven 3 as shown by 3' so that the chain on the forwarding side can pass outside the drying oven 3 and be used for circulation.
