Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、繊維強化プラスチツク管の接合方法に関する
従来の管接合方法には、第1図及び第2図に示すような
、ネジ接合方法が使用されている。第1図及び第2図に
おいて、1は繊維強化プラスチツク管、2はネジ接合部
である。この方法はネジ部の機械加工が塑性加工できる
金属の転造等によるネジ加工に比べ、超硬鋼工具、ダイ
ヤモンド工具等の特殊工具による旋盤加工に大半を頼る
ため加工費が非常に割り高となる。
また、繊維強化プラスチツク管のネ/接合には加工時強
化繊維の毛はたち等により、不完全なネジ山を形成した
場合のネジ山同士のガタ(隙間)による管軸方向の強度
(せん断強度)の低下、ノ・ラツキが生じる。
本発明は、ネジ接合方法にかわる、従来、繊維強化プラ
スチツク管同士には適用されなかったし寸りばめはめ合
い管接合方法を採用することにより、その接合部の加工
費を低減し、せん断強度を増大及び安定させる繊維強化
プラスチツク管の接合方法を提供するものである。
本発明は、繊維強化プラスチツク管の外管の内径を繊維
強化プラスチツク管の内管の外径より所定の寸法だけ小
さく加工し、外管を加熱もしくは内管を冷却することに
より両管をはめ合わせて後圧着接合さげることを特徴と
する繊維強化プラスチツク管の接合方法に関する。
本発明において繊維強化プラスチツク管には特に制限は
なく、強化繊維として、ガラス、カーボン繊維等の無機
繊維、ポリエステル繊維、アラミツド繊維等の有機繊維
、ステンレス、ボロン等の金属繊維などを使用し、マト
リックス樹脂として熱硬化性樹脂または熱可塑性樹脂を
用いて得られるものが用いられる。
第3図に本発明の一例を示す。
第3図において、3は強化繊維積層方向を示し4は繊維
強化プラスチツク管の外管、5はその内管、6ははめ合
わせ面を示す。
本発明において外管の加熱は加熱用乾燥器で行われ、内
管の冷却はドライアイス、液体窒素等の媒体を入れた冷
却容器内で行われる。
本発明の接合方法においては、圧着、接合に際して接着
剤を用いてもよい。
本発明の詳細な説明する。
第3図において、4(外管)及び5(内管)としてガラ
スクロス(旭ファイバ=(a)製、商品名MILG 1
00031))を所定の巻芯(マンドレル)に所定の枚
数巻いて締付けし、樹脂注入口を配した密閉容器に入れ
、更に0.O2mmHgに減圧された6 ’5 tZ’
の真空タンク内に15時間放置後、エポキシ樹脂組成物
を完配注入口より注入し、真空タンクより取り出し、7
0Cで15時間、ついで120Cで6時間加熱硬化して
得た繊維強化プラスチツク管を用いた。エポキシ樹脂組
成物として脂環式エポキシ樹脂(UCC製、商品名ER
,L−4221)100・  重量部、ビスフェノール
系エポキシ樹脂(旭チバ@)製、商品名AER,−33
0)80重量部、硬化剤(日立化成工業(株)製、商品
名)−IN −2200) 164重量部、硬化促進剤
(長潮チバ(株)製、商品名DY−063)0.2重量
部の混合物を用いた。更に、この管を用いて第3図のご
とく、はめ合わせ前に外管4の内径を内管5の外径より
所定の寸法(しめしろ)だけ小さく加工し、はめ合わせ
面をす240〜+600エメリーペーパーで研摩した。
更に、外管を加熱炉で1501rに加熱し、炉より取シ
出して常温にてすみやかにはめ合わせ圧着接合させて後
第3図に示す構造の管継手を得た。
第1表に従来のネジ接合方法と本発明の実施例になる接
合方法(I)、(旧による管継手のせん断強度の比較を
示す。
上記の接合方法においてははめ合わせ面には接着剤を使
用した。接着に使用した接着剤は、ビスフェノール系エ
ポキシ樹脂(旭チバ(株)製、商品名AER,−330
) 100重量部、硬化剤(味の素(株)製、商品名工
ホメート)50重量部の混合物であり、25Cにて15
時間で硬化させた。
第1表におけるせん断力の試験方法は第4図に示すよう
にして常温で行なった。すなわち、定盤8上に接合した
管継手を外管を下側にして配置し、つぎに内管上部に金
属製の押え治具を乗せ、荷重Pをかけて、はめ合わせ面
がせん断破壊する時の値を読んだ。
第4図において、4は繊維強化プラスチツク管の外管、
5はその内管、6ははめ合わせ面、7は押え治具、8は
定盤を示す。数字の単位は順である。
第1表に示されるように本発明になる接合方法によれば
、従来のネジ接合方法に比べ、せん断応力が平均で最大
50チも増大し、またデータのばらつきがネジ接合に比
べ安定している。
本発明になる接合方法は、その接合部の加工費を低減し
、その管継手としての軸方向強度(せん断強度)を増大
改善するものである。

  1. 1 繊糸■強化プラスチック管の外管の内径を繊維強化
    プラスチツク管の内管の外径より所定の寸法だけ小さく
    加工し、外管を加熱もしくは内管を冷却することにより
    両管をはめ合わせて後圧着接合させることを特徴とする
    繊維強化プラスチツク管の接合方法。
