Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensive film of different types and of uneven shape by supplying mold releasing synthetic resin continuously by an extruder on the uneven surface of a long sheet of less thermal expansion and peeling the synthetic resin after cooling. CONSTITUTION:Original paper with basis weight of 30g/m<2> is gravure-coated with vinyl chloride or vinyl acetate resin into coated paper of 4g/m<2> to be wound about a roll. This coated paper is heated, while transparent vinyl chloride film containing 15% plasticizer is stuck by heat on the coated paper. Concurrently, corrugations similar to grain vessel grooves are provided on the surface of the transparent film to obtain a sheet with 100mum corrugations which is set to an extruder. Polyester resin is applied continuously to the corrugated sheet so that the resin makes a thickness of 100mum. After cooling sheetlike polyester resin is peeled from the corrugated sheet to obtain a corrugated film having the corrugation in reverse symmetrical relation to the surface corrugation of the original corrugated sheet.

A so-called film method using vinylon film or polyester film is generally used to manufacture polyester decorative boards. The surface of this polyester decorative board is generally smooth, but if the above-mentioned vinylon film or polyester film has unevenness, the uneven shape can be transferred to the surface of the polyester decorative board. For example, there is a method of applying embossing with an embossing roll, a method of applying heat embossing after bonding a thermoplastic resin film and a release film, and the like. However, releasable films are usually difficult to emboss, and in particular vinylon films used for polyester decorative laminates using the film method change in quality due to heat, so vinylon films alone have the disadvantage of being difficult to emboss. It is conceivable to pass the vinylon film through an embossing roll during the film-forming process, but this is not practical and in reality only results in a shallow satin-like embossing. In addition, a method of providing an embossing roll during the process of forming a polyester resin into a film is actually used, but the problem is that it is difficult to commercialize the product because the shape of the embossing roll greatly affects the product value. be.

Next, the uneven sheet is placed in an extruder, polyester resin is continuously applied to the uneven surface to a thickness of 100μ, and then cooled. After cooling, the sheet-shaped polyester resin is When peeled from the textured sheet, a long textured film having a shape of depressions and depressions opposite to those on the surface of the textured sheet is obtained.

The textured sheet that becomes the manuscript undergoes heat treatment such as heating and cooling when it passes through the extruder, so materials that expand and contract due to heat are not suitable. As mentioned above, materials with paper layers, glass nonwoven fabrics, and synthetic paper are not suitable. Suitable materials include sheets with good dimensional stability, such as impregnated paper, and materials that are not susceptible to expansion and contraction due to heat, such as hardened resin sheets with an uneven surface.
