[Background technology] When poles used for street lights etc. are finished with a smooth curved surface, the gloss becomes uneven due to differences in finishing precision.
It spoils the sense of beauty. Therefore, in the past, semi-finished pipes were shot blasted to improve their aesthetic appearance, but this method had the problem of being extremely expensive as line production was not possible. was.

The method for manufacturing a ball of the present invention includes forming concave grooves in parallel on the surface of a band-shaped metal plate, the groove direction of which extends in the longitudinal direction of the metal plate, and curving the band-shaped metal plate in the width direction toward the back side to form a pipe. The surface of this pipe is plated 2, and the plated pipe is cut into a predetermined length to form a pole. With this configuration, the pole can be produced on a line and can be manufactured at low cost, and the concave grooves formed on the surface of the ball prevent uneven gloss, resulting in an excellent aesthetic appearance.

The pole A manufactured in this way has grooves 4 on its surface.
Since the concave groove 4' is formed at the position where the wick is located, the concave groove 4' reflects the light rays diffusely to prevent uneven gloss on the pole surface, resulting in a beautiful and warm appearance. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, the poles A can be produced continuously on a line, so they can be manufactured at low cost. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 7, if the grooves 4' intersect with the longitudinal direction of the steel strip 1, when the vibro is passed through the melting furnace 8, the molten plating will cross the grooves 4'. In this embodiment, the grooves 4 are formed parallel to the longitudinal direction of the strip 1 as shown in FIG. As shown, a plating layer 9 is formed with a uniform thickness on the surface of the vibro, and a solid groove 4' can be formed on the surface of the pole. It's a tumor.
Since the grooves 4 are formed in the state of the steel strip 1, the grooves 4 can be formed more stably than in the case where the grooves 4 are formed while the steel band is being made into a vibro.
