The conventional room management system was an independent hotel total system that operated a host computer, and the 6C1 automatic telephone exchange system was involved in telephone exchange operations such as accepting wake-up calls, managing calls, and sending out message lamp information. limited to the provision of ancillary services. In recent years, telephone switching systems have been positioned as the core of so-called office automation, as they are used not only to provide original telephone switching services but also to provide a wide range of information services. For example, in a hotel exchange system, in addition to simple telephone exchange functions, there are database services such as weather forecasts, entertainment guides, video services, etc., hotel management such as call charge management, disaster prevention monitoring, and monitoring services such as power supply monitoring for televisions, air conditioners, etc. Hotels need a total system that provides the following. However, as mentioned above, this hotel total system often had the disadvantage of being less economical because it required a high-quality system that was independent of the automatic telephone system.
