Abstract

PURPOSE:To promote comfortableness, by providing a suction/blowoff port in a high position in the passenger room of a vehicle to use the port for suction and cause blowoff from another port through a cleaning filter and a heat exchanger when someone is smoking. CONSTITUTION:When nobody is smoking, a switch not shown in the drawing is turned off and changeover valves 30, 32, 34 are put in positions shown by full lines, by an actuator not shown in the drawing, so that a main passage 26 communicates with ducts 14a, 18a, a duct 16a is closed and the air in the passenger room of a vehicle is conducted from a suction port 14 to a suction/ blowoff port 18 through a cleaning filter 20 and a heat exchanger 22 and blown off. When someone is smoking, the switch is turned on and the changeover valves 30, 32, 34 are put in positions shown by dotted lines, so that a by-pass 28 is opened, the main passage 26 communicates with a blowoff port 16 and the air in the passenger room is conducted from the suction/blowoff port 18 to the blowoff port through the filter 20 and the heat exchanger 22 and blown off from the port 16. This constitution prevents the diffusion of smoke to promote comfortableness.

Recent automotive air conditioners blow out cooled air from the ceiling, and air purifiers are integrated into the air conditioner to remove cigarette smoke from the interior of the vehicle. Figure 1 shows an example of this. In the figure, 83 and 1 are the intake ports of the air conditioner installed on the A7 tray board of a passenger car, and 2 is the air conditioner installed on the ceiling.
The air inlet 1 and the air outlet 2 are connected by a duct (-) not shown, and the air inside the vehicle is sucked in from the inlet 1 and flows through the duct as shown by the dotted line A. The air is blown out from the air outlet 2 as shown by the arrow.

However, in an air conditioner configured in this way, the cooling air is blown out from the ceiling, which improves the comfort during cooling, but when smoking, the cigarette smoke floating up towards the ceiling flows into the air outlet 2 in the ceiling. The problem is that the air bubbles blown out from the engine are dispersed inside the cabin, which actually impairs comfort.

In view of the above-mentioned problems, the present invention blows out air-conditioned air from an intake/outlet located at a high position in the vehicle interior when not smoking, and conversely blows out smoke-containing dirt from this intake/outlet when smoking. The purpose of the present invention is to improve the comfort of the passenger compartment by sucking in air, passing it through an air purifying filter and an air conditioning heat exchanger, and then blowing it out from another outlet.

Figure 4 shows the first, second and third switching valves 30°32.34
In the illustrated example, the first and second switching valves 30 and 32 are connected to the drive rod 42 of the diaphragm actuator 40 via control cables 36 and 38, respectively. There is. One end of a lever 46 that is pivotable about a fulcrum 44 is pivotally attached to the drive rod 42, and the third switching valve 34 is connected to the other end of the lever 46 via a control cable 48. A pressure chamber (not shown) partitioned by a diaphragm (not shown) of the actuator 40 has a conduit 5.
A negative pressure source 52 consisting of, for example, an engine intake manifold is connected through the pipe 50, and a three-way solenoid valve 54 is disposed in the middle of the pipe 50, and when a switch 56 is opened, the pressure chamber of the actuator 40 is connected. Communication between the pressure chamber and the negative pressure source 52 and communication between the pressure chamber and the atmosphere are switched.

In the above configuration, when the switch 56 is left open as shown in FIG. 4 during air conditioning operation other than when smoking, negative pressure is introduced from the negative pressure source 52 into the pressure chamber of the actuator 40 to operate the diaphragm. As a result, the drive rod 4
2 is pulled downward as seen in the figure, so that the first to third switching valves 30.degree. 32.34 are placed in the solid line positions in FIGS. 3 and 4. Therefore, the bypass path 28 is closed and the main path 26 is connected to the ducts 1 to 14a and duct l-1 that constitute the suction section.
Since the duct 168 that communicates with the air outlet 8a and constitutes the blow-off section is closed, the air inside the vehicle is sucked into the main passage 26 from the suction port 14, purified by the air purifying filter 20, and then passed through the air conditioning heat exchanger (evaporator). After being cooled by 22, it passes through a duct 18a and is blown into the vehicle interior through a suction/air outlet 18 in the ceiling. The air flow at this time is shown by solid arrows in FIG. On the other hand, when smoking, when the switch 56 is closed, the 30,000 solenoid valve 54 is switched and the pressure of the actuator 40 is communicated with the atmosphere, so the drive rod 42 rises as seen in FIG. 30
, 32, 34 are moved to the dotted line positions in FIGS. 3 and 4. Therefore, communication of the main passage 26 with the suction port 14 and the suction/air outlet 18 is cut off, the duct 18a communicates with the upstream end of the main passage 2 via the bypass passage 28, and the downstream end of the main passage 26 is connected to the Since it communicates with the outlet 16, the air above the vehicle interior containing smoke is sucked in from the suction/outlet 18, passes through the duct 18a and the bypass passage 28, and flows into the upstream end of the main passage 26, where it enters the air cleaning filter. 2o, the air is purified, and then cooled by the air conditioning heat exchanger 22, and then blown out through the air outlet 16 into the passenger compartment. The air flow at this time is shown by dotted arrows in FIG.

Although the present invention has been described in detail above, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments. That is, for example, the suction/air outlet 18 can be installed not only in the center of the Otsuki but also in the quarter panels of both sides of the vehicle. Although the third switching valve 34 is shown as being able to switch between a fully open position and a fully open position, it may be configured to have its opening degree adjustable. Furthermore,
The number of parts may be reduced by using the second and third switching valves 32 and 34 as a single 40,000 valve. It should be understood that the pressure actuator 40 of the switching valve interlocking mechanism may be of an electric type or a manually operated type such as a lever link type.Furthermore, The installation location of the main body 12 of the device should be determined depending on the type of automobile, and is not limited to the location behind the rear seat.In addition, the switch 56 should be installed to operate the cigarette lighter or ashtray associated with the smoking operation. They may be operated automatically in conjunction with each other.

As is clear from the above description, according to the air purifier and air conditioner according to the present invention, when non-smoking, the conditioned air is Since the air is discharged from the suction/air outlet 18 located at a high position in the vehicle interior, the same level of comfort in the vehicle interior as that of the conventional device shown in FIG. 1 can be obtained.
By placing the switching valves 30, 32, and 34 at the dotted line positions, the dirty air containing smoke floating in the upper space of the vehicle interior is blown into the air inlet/outlet 18 located at a high position within the vehicle interior, and is routed through the duct 18a and the bypass path 28. The air returns to the upstream end of the main passage 26, where it is cleaned and cooled, and then blown out from the low air outlet 16, so that the conditioned air is blown out from the air outlet 2 in the ceiling both when non-smoking and when smoking. Compared to the conventional device shown in FIG. 1, this device has the effect of eliminating the problem of smoke floating in high places inside the vehicle interior being diffused into the vehicle interior, and improving the comfort inside the vehicle interior.
