Continuous coating is performed. For example, a fixed coating device applies the coating to a predetermined portion while a long rubber or plastic material obtained by extrusion is moved in the longitudinal direction at a predetermined speed. Conventionally, such a fixed coating device has been used, for example, one consisting of a coating agent supply pipe and a groove or scraper disposed adjacent to the groove. As shown in the outline of the coating method in Fig. 1, the coating agent is continuously supplied from the tip of the coating agent supply pipe B while the long object A is traveling at a constant speed in its longitudinal direction, and then The supplied coating agent is stretched to a predetermined width and thickness by a groove C that is brought into contact with the area corresponding to the coated part of the long object A in front of the wire supply pipe B in the running direction of the long object. It is something.

A coating agent layer is easily formed. In addition, it is difficult to apply the coating agent neatly to the boundary line between the areas where it should be applied and the areas where it should not be applied (i.e., the parting line is clearly visible, there are areas where the coating agent is left uncoated), and there is smudging. occurs).

On the other hand, a spray coating method is sometimes applied to apply a coating agent to a long object. According to this method, the parting line clearly appears by masking, but this results in a lot of waste of coating material. In addition, with this method, when coating a long object with a highly uneven cross section, it is difficult to coat the entire coated surface with a uniform thickness.

Further, a brush is provided in front of the tube with respect to the traveling direction of the long object, and the brush can come into contact only with the coated part of the long object.
This is achieved by the coating device of the present invention.

The coating means 4 includes a coating agent reservoir 5 that communicates with the coating agent supply pipe 3 and a plurality of thin flexible tubes 6 that communicate with the reservoir 5, respectively. There are no particular restrictions on the internal volume, shape, etc. of the storage section 5, and it is provided to uniformly supply the coating agent introduced from the supply pipe 3 to all the tubes 6, and this purpose is achieved. If so, the tip of the supply pipe 3 may be branched and the flexible tube 6 may be connected directly. The storage portion 5 is made of metal or plastic, and has a predetermined strength and durability. The tube 6 is flexible and usually made of plastic or rubber. The tube 6 can be of any suitable size depending on the coating agent, coating thickness, etc., and is, for example, a polyethylene tube with an inner diameter of 1 x outer diameter of 1.5 mm.

In the case of FIG. 2, the brush 7 is fixed to the fabric agent reservoir 5, but it may be fixed by any other suitable means. The brush 7 has a width that allows it to come into contact only with the coated portion of a long object. 8 is a support stand.

At the same time, the coating agent is supplied from the coating agent tank 1 through the supply pipe 3 by the pump 2, and is pushed out from the opening at the tip of each tube 6 onto the coating surface through the storage section 5. At this time, it is preferable that the tube 6 is still brought into contact with the application surface at an angle. Immediately after application, the coating agent exhibits streaks corresponding to the number of tubes (60), but the thickness is equalized by immediately sweeping it with the brush 7. In the case of FIG. 2, the arrangement of the tip openings of the tube 6 is configured from the beginning (that is, before it is brought into contact with the elongated object A) to correspond to the shape of the application part in the cross-sectional shape of the elongated object. However, the arrangement of the tip openings may not initially correspond exactly to the shape of the application portion in the cross-sectional shape of the elongated object. Since the tube 6 in the apparatus of the present invention has flexibility, when its tip opening is pressed diagonally against the coating surface, it will be arranged in a manner that follows the shape of the coating surface (i.e., the tube 6 in the present invention has flexibility). (The degree of gender is such that it can produce such an effect.)

has a donut shape, and flexible tubes 6 are connected to the inner surface thereof, and the openings at the ends thereof are arranged in a circular shape. Further, in this specific example, the brush 7 is provided inside the annular body 7 attached to the coating agent reservoir 5.

In addition, in this specific example, the tube tip openings are not aligned in the direction perpendicular to the running direction of the long object;
In the present invention, [the arrangement of the tip openings corresponds to the shape of the applied part on the outer periphery of the visiting shape of the long object] means the shape of the applied part when projected on a curve perpendicular to the traveling direction of the long object. It shall also mean the case. When using such relatively long tubes 6, connecting and holding means 9 can be attached to predetermined locations of all the tubes 6 in order to maintain the arrangement of the distal end openings. Also,
In this specific example, the brush 7 is fixed to the coating agent supply pipe 3.

In this specific example, the storage section 5 is attached to the guide member 10 so as to be vertically movable for position adjustment and rotatable around an axis perpendicular to the attachment direction. At the intermediate position, the guide member 10 is formed with a travel guide hole 11 for the elongated object, through which the elongated object A is allowed to pass in the direction of the arrow.

Even in such a case, in the apparatus of the present invention, since the tube 6 is flexible, it can sufficiently follow the coating surface and the coating surface can be swept uniformly, so that coating defects do not occur.
