Continuous application is performed. For example, a fixed coating device applies the coating to a predetermined portion while a long rubber or plastic product obtained by extrusion is moved in the longitudinal direction at a predetermined speed. Conventionally, such a fixed coating device includes, for example, a coating agent supply pipe and a brush or scraper disposed adjacent to the pipe. 1C, as shown in the outline of the coating method in FIG. 1, the coating agent is continuously supplied from the tip of the coating agent supply pipe B while the long object A is traveling at a constant speed in its longitudinal direction. Next, the supplied coating agent is stretched to a predetermined width and thickness by a brush C that is brought into contact with a range corresponding to the coated part of the long object A in front of the supply pipe B with respect to the running direction of the long object. It is.

A drug layer is likely to be formed. Also,
It is difficult to apply the coating agent neatly to the boundary line between the areas where it should be applied and the areas where it should not be applied (i.e., there will be a clear parting line, and there will be areas where the coating agent remains uncoated or sticks out). .

。Such drawbacks are particularly noticeable when the viscosity of the coating agent is high. On the other hand, in applying a coating agent to a long object, a spray coating method is sometimes applied. According to this method, the parting line clearly appears by masking, but this results in a lot of waste of coating material. In addition, with this method, when coating a long object with a highly uneven cross section, it is difficult to coat the entire coated surface with a uniform thickness.

The tube has a distal end opening in the form of a substantially continuous slit of a constant width, and the tube is characterized in that the shape of the distal opening can correspond to the shape of the outer peripheral application portion in the cross-sectional shape of the elongated object. This is achieved by the coating apparatus of the present invention.

In the apparatus of the present invention, a coating means 4 is provided at the tip of a coating agent supply pipe 3 for supplying the coating agent from the coating agent tank 1 by the pump 2, for applying the coating agent to the long snout. There is. The coating agent supply pipe 3 may be any conventionally used pipe as long as it can flow the coating agent at a predetermined flow rate and has a predetermined strength.

The coating means 4 includes a coating agent reservoir 5 that communicates with the coating agent supply pipe 3 and a flat collapsible tube 6 that communicates with the reservoir 5 . There are no particular restrictions on the internal volume, shape, etc. of the storage section 5, and it is provided to uniformly supply the coating agent introduced from the supply pipe 3 over the entire width of the flat tube 6, and this purpose is achieved. In that case, the flexible tube 6 may be connected directly to the tip of the supply pipe 3. The storage portion 5 is made of metal or plastic, for example, and has a predetermined strength and durability. The tube 6 is flexible and usually made of plastic or rubber, and its tip opening forms a slit of a predetermined size. The tube 6 can have an appropriate degree of flatness depending on the coating agent, coating thickness, etc., and is, for example, a polyethylene tube with a slit width of about 1 wn. The tube 6 is made of a material that is resistant to the coating agent used. In order to maintain the flatness of the tube 6, connecting bodies I for connecting both side surfaces of the tube can be provided at appropriate locations.

The slit shape of the opening at the tip of the tube 6 corresponds to the application area in the cross-sectional shape of the elongated object. 8 is a support stand.

At the same time, the supply pipe 3 is transferred from the coating agent tank 1 to the pump 2.
The coating agent is supplied through the tube 6, passes through the reservoir 5, and is pushed out from the opening at the tip of the tube 6 onto the coating surface. On this occasion,
Preferably, the tube 6 is brought into contact with the application surface obliquely.

However, the shape of the tip opening may not initially correspond exactly to the shape of the application portion in the cross-sectional shape of the elongated object. Since the tube 6 in the device of the present invention has flexibility, when its tip opening is pressed diagonally against the coating surface, it takes on a shape corresponding to the shape of the coating surface (that is, the tube 6 in the present invention has flexibility). (The degree of gender is such that it can produce such an effect.)

。FIG. 6 is a perspective view of another embodiment of the apparatus of the present invention, in which there is no reservoir and a flexible tube 6 is connected directly to the coating agent supply pipe 3. In this way, when the coating agent is uniformly supplied from the coating agent supplying vibe 3 over the entire width of the tube 6, the storage section may be omitted. In addition, in this specific example, the tube tip opening is not formed in a direction perpendicular to the running direction of the long object, but in the present invention, The term "corresponding to the shape of the part" shall include the case where the shape corresponds to the shape of the coated part when projected onto a plane perpendicular to the running direction of the long object.

In this specific example, the storage section 5 is attached to the guide member 9 vertically facing each other so that it can be moved up and down for position adjustment and rotated about an axis perpendicular to the attachment surface. At the intermediate position, a long object running guide hole 10 is formed in the guide member 9, through which the long object A is allowed to pass in the direction of the arrow.

Even in that case, in the apparatus of the present invention, since the tube 6 is flexible, it can sufficiently follow the coating surface and no uneven coating will occur. Moreover, according to the apparatus of the present invention, even a coating surface having a complicated cross-sectional shape can be easily coated with a uniform thickness.
