Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a granular deodorant having superior deodorizing action made of a powdery carrier contg. an extract or a fraction from a plant of a camellia family and at least as a partial component a polymer high in water absorptivity. CONSTITUTION:An extract or a fraction is drawn out principally from the leaves of a plant of the camellia family, such as tea, sadzanqua, camellia, sakaki, or laurel. A granular deodorant is prepared by using said extract or fraction weighing 0.01-30% and 99.99-70wt% granular carrier contg. at least as a partial component a polymer high in water absorptivity. This polymer is added to said carrier by its 1-30wt%. As said carrier, diatomaceous earth, kaolin, zeolite, bentonite, etc. are used, and as said polymer, crosslinked polyethylene oxide, cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone, cross-linked sulfonated polyethylene, etc. are used.

The granular carrier (B) may be only a superabsorbent polymer, but it is usually used in combination with other decayed granules. Other suitable powders include clay minerals such as silica gravel, kaolin, zeolite, and bentonite, which have excellent adsorption ability for the component (A), as well as calcium carbonate,
Talc, silicon dioxide, mica, calcium silicate, aluminum silicate, magnesium oxide, titanium oxide, zinc white, magnesium carbonate, barium sulfate, calcium sulfate, sodium sulfate, wood flour, cork powder, bulb, dextrin, grain flour , grains, and weft powder are used.

The blending ratio of the plant extract or fraction (A) and the particulate carrier (B) containing at least a portion of highly water-absorbing i\ molecules can vary widely as long as the mixture is in the form of powder, but preferred options may vary. Shikke (A) O, O]~30wt-M%, (B) 9999~7
0% by weight, particularly preferably (A) 0.1-10%, and (A) 99.9-90%. If the proportion of (A) is too low, the deodorizing effect will be lacking, and if the proportion of (A) is too high, it will be difficult to form a powder or granule that is easy to spread, and this will be economically disadvantageous.

In addition, it is sufficient that the superabsorbent polymer accounts for at least a part of the powder/grain carrier (B), but it is better to use the super absorbent polymer in combination with other powder/grain carriers than to use the super absorbent polymer alone, since the deodorizing component The holes have a deodorizing effect of 11. In addition, it is preferable because it is not sticky and is advantageous in terms of cost. Therefore, when the entire particulate carrier (B) is 100 parts by weight, it is highly practical to select the amount of super absorbent molecules from the range of 0.1 to 30 parts by weight.
