に関する。 【0002】 【従来の技術】従来、生ゴミの堆肥化処理剤としては、
生石灰、硫安、尿素などの無機系処理剤が知られている
が、これらの処理剤で食生活廃棄物を堆肥化すると悪臭
が発生したり、ウジ・ハエ等の虫が発生して処理物の取
扱いに不便であったり、また多量の処理剤が必要である
とい欠点があった。そこで、各種微生物等の有機系処理
剤が提案されているが、このものは高価でありしかも温
度等の処理環境によってその機能が十分に活かせない場
合があった。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は、上記欠点を
解消し、少量の使用量で脱臭・殺虫・堆肥化促進に優れ
る無機系の生ゴミの堆肥化処理剤を提供することを目的
とするものである。 【0004】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】すなわち、本発明は、
石灰窒素50〜99重量%とゼオライト50〜1重量%
からなることを特徴とする生ゴミの堆肥化処理剤であ
る。 【0005】以下、更に詳しく本発明について説明す
る。 【0006】本発明で使用される石灰窒素は、窒素成分
として15重量%以上特に20重量%程度のものが好適
である。このような石灰窒素の市販品があり、その一例
をあげれば電気化学工業社製商品名「21石灰窒素」で
ある。また、ゼオライトとしては、天然ゼオライト、合
成ゼオライトのいずれでもよいが、石灰窒素と混合して
使用されるのでその水分量はできるだけ少ないことが好
ましく、通常は乾燥してから使用される。 【0007】石灰窒素とゼオライトの割合は、石灰窒素
50〜99重量%、ゼオライト50〜1重量%である。
石灰窒素が50重量%未満であるか又はゼオライトが5
0重量%をこえると、生ゴミの殺虫と堆肥化促進の効果
が不十分となり、また石灰窒素が99重量%をこえるか
又はゼオライトが1重量%未満であると、生ゴミの脱臭
と堆肥化促進の効果が不十分となる。 【0008】本発明の生ゴミの堆肥化処理剤は、生石
灰、硫安、尿素等の無機系処理剤、各種微生物等の有機
系処理剤と併用することもできる。本発明の生ゴミの堆
肥化処理剤は、食生活廃棄物、枯れ葉、草等の堆肥化処
理に使用することができる。 【0009】 【実施例】以下、実施例、比較例及び参考例をあげて更
に具体的に本発明を説明する。 実施例1〜6、比較例1〜2 市販の石灰窒素(窒素成分21重量%)と市販の合成ゼ
オライトを表1に示す割合で混合して生ゴミの堆肥化処
理剤を調製した。 【0010】得られた処理剤を容器に収納された生ゴミ
(一般家庭の食生活廃棄物)に3重量%添加し、蓋をし
ないで1箇月間大気中に放置して生ゴミを処理し、以下

を測定しその減少率を算出した。 (4)発芽率:処理済生ゴミ10gを蒸留水20ミリリ
ットルと共にシャーレに入れ、その上に十分濡れるよう
に濾紙を敷き、コマツナの種子20粒を播種し、室温で
3日後の発芽率を測定した。 【0012】参考例1〜2生ゴミの堆肥化処理剤 として、生石灰粉末(市販品)又
は硫安(市販品)を用いたこと以外は実施例と同様にし
