Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は砂型の砂落ち防止法に関し、更に詳しくは砂
型の製品部、湯口、湯道の表面に水ガラスを噴霧し、次
いでＣＯ，ガスでこれを硬化させる砂型の砂落ち防止法
に関する。
従来より鉄系鋳物の鋳造には砂型鋳造法が主として用い
られているが、このような鋳造に使われる砂型（ま溶湯
の注湯時あるいはそれ以前の造型過程で製品部、湯口、
湯道から砂の一部が脱落し、正確な形状の鋳物製品が得
られたかつｔこり、あるいは湯口、湯道の一部を閉塞す
る等の欠点があった。
この発明は上記事情に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的
とするところは、砂型の製品部、湯口、湯道の表面に水
ガラスを噴霧しこれをＣＯｔガスで硬化させて砂型の砂
落ちを防止する簡単且つ安価な砂落防止方法を提供する
ことにある。
以下この発明の一実施例を図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は模型１を図示しない型枠に固定し鋳物砂２で固
めた状態を示す。この状態で予め湯口３を垂直に形成す
る。次いで第２図に示すように上砂型４ａ、下砂型４ｂ
を互に離間して模型１を取り出す。模型１を取り外した
後には土砂型４ａの下面に製品部５ａ及び湯道６がまた
下砂型４ｂの上面に製品部５ｂがそれぞれ形成される。
次いで第３図に示すように上記上砂型４ａ及び下砂型４
ｂをそれぞれ所定の距離離間させた状態で噴霧器７を用
いて水ガラス８を上記製品部５ａ、５ｂ、湯道６、湯口
３の表面に噴霧し付着させる。次に第４図に示すように
上砂型４ａと下砂型４６とを互に整合（型合わせ）させ
てから湯口よりＣＯｔガスをこれら湯口３製品部５及び
湯道６に導入してこれらの表面に付着している水ガラス
を硬化させ、強固な鋳型とすることができる。
以上述べたように、この発明によれば砂型の型割り後に
砂型の湯口、湯道、製品部の各部表面に水ガラスを噴霧
し、次いで型合わせ後ＣＯ，ガスで水ガラスを硬化させ
たので、これら各部は強固な表面を形成し、このため、
造形後若しくは注湯中に湯口、湯道、製品部からの砂落
ちがまったくな（しかもきわめて簡単且つ安価な砂落ち
防止法を提供することができる等の利点を有する。

第１図は模型を砂に埋設させた状態、第２図は土砂型と
下砂型とを互に離間させて模型を取り出す状態、第３図
は水ガラスを製品部に噴霧している状態、第４図は砂型

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 砂型を造型し、型割後前記砂型内に形成された製品部、
    湯口、湯道の表面に水ガラスを噴霧し、前記砂型の型合
    せ後にＣＯ，ガスを通気させて前記砂型の製品部、湯口
    、湯道の表面に付着した水ガラスを硬化させることを特
    徴とする砂型の砂落防止法。
