PURPOSE:To mount a stud to a stud welding gun automatically and to improve working efficiency markedly, by receiving the stud from a stud supplying part and moving the same to a stud mounting position by a driving mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A stud 7 is inserted in a stud receiving part 6, and after the piston rod 3a of a cylinder 3 for feeding studs in an axial direction is moved in an advance direction, the piston rod 5a of a cylinder 5 for feeding studs in a transverse direction is moved to the advance position. Thereafter, again the cylinder 3 operates toward the retreat position, and the part 6 is moved in the position facing the chuck of a stud welding gun 1. Then, the stud 7 is inserted into a collet and is pushed down to the magnet attracting position. Thus, the stud 7 is mounted from a stud supply pipe 2 to a stud welding gun 1.
