Abstract

PURPOSE:To form patterned face of a metallic panel on a metallic surface by placing a thin intervening material of specified thickness between a patterned casting mold and a metallic plate for metallic panel in manufacturing a patterned metallic panel by explosive forming using a casting mold. CONSTITUTION:A metallic plate 3, such as Al, stainless steel, Cu etc. for forming a patterned panel is fixed by a clamping frame 4 and bolts 5 on the upper face of a die in which a patterned casting mold 2 is set in a base mold 1. Inside of the die is made vacuum by a vacuum pump 6. It is then put in water, and explosive 9 is exploded by a detonator 11 to press the metallic plate 3 against the surface of the patterned mold 2. The pattern is transferred to the metallic plate 3, and a patterned metallic plate is formed. At this time, a vinyl adhesive tape 10 <=0.5mm. in thickness is adhered to the lower face of the metallic plate 3, or the surface of the casting mold 2 is covered with a film, <=0.5mm. thick, of hardened resin etc. A pattern of metal surface instead of casting surface, is formed on the surface of the metallic panel.

Conventionally, with the explosion molding method using a casting mold, a patterned panel with a perfect metal skin could not be obtained even with a casting mold made by precision casting. was difficult.

The reason why casting molds are often used in explosive molding is because the patterns are easy to make and the cutting process is difficult.
This is because the manufacturing cost of the mold is lower than that of the internal filling method or contouring method.

In the Bakuho molding method, for example, as shown in the first WJ, a patterned casting I12 is placed on a pace mold 1, and a metal plate 3 (for example, an aluminum plate, a stainless steel plate) to which the pattern is transferred is placed on the mold. , copper plate, etc.], and after tightening the frame 4 with the bolts 5, use the vacuum pump 6 to exhaust the air inside the molding table through the exhaust pipe 7, and close the valve 8 to keep the inside vacuum. The metal plate 3 is immersed in water together with the explosive 9, detonating the explosive 9, and the metal plate 3 collides with the surface of the casting gold W2, thereby faithfully transferring the pattern on the surface of the casting mold to the metal plate 3.

Conventionally, most of the molding umbrella molds used in such explosion molding methods are cast metals, and when a mold is used, the surface texture of the patterned metal panel formed faithfully resembles the casting surface unique to the casting mold. It is to be transcribed into.

That is, the present invention provides for the production of explosively formed panels,
This is a method for manufacturing metal panels in which explosive molding is performed with a thin inclusion interposed between a patterned casting mold and a metal plate to which a pattern is transferred.

As the inclusion used in the present invention, a soft sheet having a thickness of 0, S4 or less or a coating material such as resin is used. The thickness of this inclusion is preferably 0.5- or less because if it is 0.5- or more, the pattern cannot be transferred sharply. Furthermore, since the surface of the casting will be transferred even if it is too thin, an appropriate thickness ζ must be selected depending on the type of inclusions and the material of the metal plate to be formed.

As for the method of attaching a soft sheet, it is preferable to attach a 7-sheet to the metal plate to be transferred. One side of the sheet is adhesive, and the sheet must be attached without wrinkles or blisters. Furthermore, the sheet must be easily peelable from the metal plate after being formed. As the inclusion used in this method, commercially available seamless vinyl adhesive tape is preferred. Further, in a method of coating a casting mold with a resin or the like, a film is coated on the surface of the casting mold, and the film is preferably a curable film that adheres to the casting mold. As the inclusions, it is possible to use a spray-type or coating-type hard resin.

When the method of the present invention, that is, explosive molding is performed with a thin inclusion between the mold and the metal plate, even if a conventional casting mold is used, a pattern with a metal surface that is not a casting surface will be produced. The attached metal panel can be easily produced as shown in FIG. 2 of the embodiment. (Mild steel) Place the patterned casting mold 2 on top K of 1, place the aluminum plate 3 on which the pattern transfer surface is covered with vinyl tape 10, and then hold the frame 4 and bolts 5 to form the pattern. It was tightened. Next, the vacuum pump 6 discharges the air between the pattern 2 and the metal plate 3 through the discharge pipe 7, and the stone and the explosive 9 are submerged in water, and the explosive is detonated by the detonator 11 to release its energy. The pattern was transferred to the aluminum plate 3.

The thus obtained patterned aluminum plate 3 had a surface that remained as a metal surface, and the pattern of the mold was accurately transferred.
