Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the load of water cooling system and to improve the cooling performance by providing water jackets and cooling fins of jacket outer walls on both a cylinder and a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:Water jackets 4, 5 are provided on a cylinder 2 and a cylinder head 3 of an internal-combustion engine 1 for a motorcycle, and the cooling water is fed from a radiator 12 through a water pipe 13, water pump 8, and water pipe 10 and is discharged to the radiator 12 through a water pipe 10 and thermostat 11. Cooling fins 6, 7 are provided on the outer walls of water jackets 4, 5 provided on said cylinder 2 and cylinder head 3, and supportingly cool the cooling water in the water jackets 4, 5.
