Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a write current and to improve ability in reading, by laminating two kind of film, i.e. a magnetic film which has high saturated magnetism characteristics important during writing and a magnetic film which has high magnetic permeability characteristics important during reading, and thus constituting a magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate 1, the 1st kind of magnetic film 2 is arranged and on it, the 2nd kind of magnetic film 3 is arranged; and part 4 of a coil used for writing and reproducing while having a gap part 6 is arranged in an insulator 5 and on it, the upper and lower magnetic layers are connected mutually at a back yoke part 7. The upper magnetic layer consists of the 2nd kind of magnetic film 3 and the 1st kind of magnetic layer 2 which are stacked. As the 1st and 2nd kind of magnetic films, either of magnetic films having high saturated magnetism characteristics and high magnetic permeability characteristics is employed. The film having the high saturated magnetism characteristics uses a Co-Zr amorphous film, and the film having the high magnetic permeability film uses a Co-Fe-B amorphous film.
