Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明はアマルガムを封有する低圧水銀蒸気放電灯に関
する。

低圧水銀蒸気放電灯においては、放電灯の動作期間中水
銀の蒸気圧が約６ｘｌＯ”ｍＨｇである場合に、供給電
気エネルギの紫外線への転換効率が最大となシ、との値
は約４０℃の液体木調と平衡状態にある蒸気圧である。

圧との関係を調査した。この結果を図に示す。図は横軸

とおり、上述した３種のアマルガムはいずれも低温にお
ける水銀蒸気圧が純水銀のそれに近く、高温における水
銀蒸気圧が６ Ｘ １０ ’ ｓｇＨｇ近くで平衡を保
っていることが解る。そして基体合金の組成比が共融組
成比から若干変化しても問題はなく、具体的にはビスマ
ス、鉛、インジウム、錫およびアンチモニの比率が５０
： １７ ： １３ ： ２１ ： １ないし、４６：
１９： １２ ： ２２ ： ｔの範囲内にあれば上述
した６ｘｌＯ”瓢Ｈｇ近傍の水銀蒸気圧を充分満足でき
、ランプの高温特性を向上できる。

なお、本発明はけい光ランプや殺菌灯などの低圧水銀蒸
気放電灯に適用できる。

このように、本発明の低圧水銀蒸気放電灯はビスマス、

に水銀を含有させたアマルガムをバルブ内に封入したの
で、高温特性を向上できる利点がある。

Claims (3)
- （１） ビスマス、鉛、インジウム、錫およびアンテ
モニからなる基体合金に水銀を含有させたアマルガムを
パルプ内に封入したことを特徴とする低圧水銀蒸気放電
灯。 - （２）アマルガム中の基体合金と水銀との重量比はｏ、
ｓａ ： ０．０？ないし０．９９５ ： ｏ、ｏｏｓ
の範囲内にあることをＩｆＩＩＩｌ！とする特許請求の
範囲第１項記載の低圧水銀蒸気放電灯。 - （３）基体合金中のビスマス、鉛、インジウム、錫およ
びアンチモニの重量比はｓｏ ： １７ ： １３ ：
２１：１ないし４藝： １９ ： １２ ： ２２
： １の範囲内にあることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲
第１項記載の低圧水銀蒸気放電灯。
