Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent water from intruding into a car room, by extending the end part of a drain guide up to the outside away from cables and the like when installing. CONSTITUTION:A hood seal rubber 21 making contact with an inner panel 19a of a hood 19 in time of closing this hood 19 and an air external intake 15 are installed on a cowl top panel 9 while an air intake 17 is installed on a dash lower panel 13. On the other hand, on top of the cowl top panel 9, a drain guide 27 conducting rainwater in the direction of the car breadth to a more rearward position than the hood seal rubber 21 is installed so extendedly as to cause its both ends to be positioned more outward in the car breadth direction than the setting positions of cables and harnesses 25. The rainwater running down through a windshield flows into the drain guide 27 and is conducted toward the car breadth, then drained outside the car from drain ports 33 at both sides.

However, rainwater, etc. that has flowed down the windshield surface is blocked by the hood seal rubber 21 provided on the cowl 1 and knob panel 9, and is guided toward the interior of the vehicle, where some of the water is discharged outside the vehicle. The water flows down through the gap between the hood seal rubber 21 and down the needlework lower panel 23. A large number of cables 25 or wire harnesses pass through the darts lower panel 23 between the engine room 7 and the passenger compartment 11.
, water entered the passenger compartment 11 through the wire harness.
There was a problem. 'So, in order to solve this problem, there is a method of sealing all the cable through holes and a method of sealing between the hood seal rubber 21 and the cowl top panel. There is a problem in terms of workability in achieving a complete seal, and in the case of the latter, it is difficult in terms of work or quality control to achieve a complete seal over the entire surface.

Incidentally, the same months as in the conventional example are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description will be given below. 3 in the figure is the lower part of the windshield 1, and is a jj lalux connected to the left and right front pillars 5.5. The cowl box 3 includes a cowl top panel 9 on the engine compartment 7 side and a dash upper panel 1 on the passenger compartment 11 side.
3, the cowl top panel 9 is provided with a hood seal rubber 21 that comes into contact with the inner par panel 19a of the hood 19 when the hood 19 is closed, and an outside air intake port 15. Datsush lower panel 13

Also, on the upper surface of the cowl top and panel 9, there is a place behind the hood seal rubber 21 to direct rainwater toward the vehicle 1J.
A drainage guide 27 for guiding the water in the direction of the vehicle is provided so that both ends of the guide 27 are extended to the outside in the vehicle interior direction from the locations where cables and harnesses are disposed. Drainage guide 27 in this embodiment
When the cowl top panel 9 is press-molded into a predetermined shape, a groove with a V-shaped cross section extending in the direction of the vehicle is formed on the upper surface of the cowl top panel 9, and a space for storing the wiper is created in the lower part of the windshield 1. These are the configurations that are secured. Drainage holes 33 are provided at both ends of the drainage guide 27, as shown in FIG.
.. 33 are provided. Although the drainage guide 27 of this embodiment has a V-shaped cross section, a dam extending toward the interior of the vehicle may be formed instead of a groove.

Therefore, according to this embodiment, the rainwater is drained from the drainage guide 2.
7 and is guided toward the inside of the car, and both ends 27a, 27
Since the mountain water is made to flow down from the point a to prevent the water from being transmitted to the couple 25 and the like, there is no water intrusion into the compartment 11. In addition, in the case of this embodiment, the engine room 7
It is desirable to take countermeasures against water, such as drainage holes, so that mountain water can quickly drain out of the vehicle.

As explained above, according to the cowl structure of the present invention, rainwater flowing down on the upper surface of the cowl top panel is guided in the direction of the vehicle 111 by the drainage guide and discharged outside the vehicle, so that rainwater does not enter the vehicle interior. No more intrusion. Furthermore, since a simple measure of providing a drainage guide on the upper surface of the cowl 1 tongue panel is sufficient, there are no problems in terms of workability and assembly.
