Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は摩擦材の超音波成形方法、更に詳しくは粉末状
の摩擦材料に超音波振動による加振と油圧プレスによる
加圧とを順次行うようにしfc摩擦材の成□形方法に関
するものである。
従来広く採用されている摩擦材成形法は金型を必要温度
に加熱後、予備成形された摩擦材原料を熱成形用金型に
投入し加圧成形する方法である〇この成形方法の場合、
摩擦材製品の硬化が外側から始まるため、反応ガスを抜
く処理が必要であり、又熱伝導の悪い摩擦材料を外部よ
り加熱するため成形に長い時+ij+がか\り、しかも
金型を加熱するため余分なエネルギーを必要とする等の
欠点がある。
このような欠点を吹音するものとして超音波成形は超音
波の摩(懸材料への加振と該摩擦材の加圧成形とを同時
に行っている。
か\る方法の場合、摩擦拐の加圧成形時にtよその加圧
力は必然的に大きくするため、加振と加圧とを同時に行
うと加振が失速するという欠点があり、摩擦材成形上の
能力の点で問題がある。
本発明はこのような欠点を解消するためになされたもの
で、摩擦材料への超f波の加振後、これとは別工程で摩
擦材の加圧を引続いて速や刀・に行うことを%徴として
いる。
即ち本発明の要旨とする所i11、粉末状の単捺拐料全
成形金型に投入した後、超音波の印加により急速な内部
発熱をさせ速や〃・に油圧プレスにて^圧を加える摩擦
材の成形方法にある。
以下に本発明を図+fnに示す実施例によって説明する
O 第1図は摩擦側材に超行波を印加してこれを急速に内部
光熱させる加熱工程を示している〇先ず金4ν(1)と
受台(2)とに表金(3)をセツトシた後、金型(1)
内に#搾相粉杯(4)を装填した後、超首沢発信機(7

この超音波振動の印加により犀振材(4)に所望の内部
発熱を巧える力旧へ発熱を行なった仮、厚、振材(4)
及び表金(3)を内蔵する金u2(II及び受台(2)
を第2の加圧]′程に林動する。
この加圧工程では加圧用/lII圧ブレズブレスに収句
けられた加圧用七パンチ(5)で加圧成形される。(6

以上、本発明方法による作用効果を要約して示1パと次

  1. (1)成形金型に投入された粉末状の卑擦″44不−1
    に超音波振動を印加して該摩鯨材和1に急速な内部発熱
    を与えた後、油圧プレスにて該摩擦栃料に高圧を加える
    ことを%徴とする摩擦材の成形方法。
