Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a molding capable of fuilding up a beautiful looking external surface by a method wherein resin tapes compatible with molding material are stuck in advance to portions to mount the moldings on metallic core material and the molding material is extruded on the tapes and stuck to them to form in a unitary body with the moldings. CONSTITUTION:Resin tapes compatible with the molding material are stuck in advance to portions to mount a molding such as rubber for metallic core material, shock absorbing material of synthetic material etc., weatherstrip, etc. The metallic core material is supplied into an extrusion molding machine, the molding material is extruded in the desired shape and at the same time stuck to the resin tape to form the metallic core material in a unitary body with the molding. Then, the desired molding is prepared through cooling treatment.

Conventionally, cushioning materials are made using an adhesive that is pre-applied to the surface of a flat metal plate that serves as the core material, is baked with high frequency, and then is softened in a preheater after the flat metal plate is bent and formed into a predetermined cross-sectional shape. By adhering the cushioning material at the same time as extrusion molding, it is possible to attach it integrally to the metal core material. When the adhesive sticks, or when it softens in the preheater, it accumulates on the edge and bulges out from the edge when the cushioning material is pressed against it. For I!, many units of one root are required, which is undesirable, and for I!, when the adhesive is baked with a high-frequency heating machine, the organic solvent contained in the adhesive is scattered into the atmosphere, which affects the human body. There are also drawbacks.

Immediately after pasting the resin tape 2a, the metal core material M can be fed into the cold roll forming machine 3 (0) In the illustrated embodiment, after pasting the resin tape 2a, the tape pasting machine 2ζ: Separate 4 : The equipment can be attached with Rokuho tape 2b to protect the colored surface and the bare surface of the molding other than where the I1 value material B is attached from being scratched.
As the tape 2b, it is preferable to use a colored transparent tape that is incompatible with the molded resin of the cushioning material B, such as polyethylene, and to make it easier to peel off after the fact, the adhesive 2m' on which the resin tape 2a is attached is used. It is best to apply adhesive 2b' with low adhesive strength (see Figure 4).These tapes 2m and 2b

The buffer material B is fed into an extrusion molding machine 4 which molds the cushioning material B in a continuous state. The resin material used in T & includes rubber, synthetic resin, etc., and is at least compatible with the resin tape 21, and when it is extruded into the specified shape of the cushioning material B, it is simultaneously welded to the resin tape 2a. It is integrally attached to the thin metal core material A (see Fig. 6). The metal core material A equipped with the cushioning material B is cooled in a water tank 5 and finally cut to size with a clipper 6 to be manufactured into a product as a molding.
