DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a deodorizing agent and a method for producing the same.
Methods for deodorizing or deodorizing include, for example, methods of masking bad odors with aromatic substances such as camphra oil, methods of oxidizing and decomposing odorous substances with oxidizing agents such as potassium permanganate, making them odorless, zinc sulfate, sulfuric acid, etc. A method of fixing bad odors such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide with metal salts such as aluminum and iron sulfate, and neutralizing odorous substances with neutralizing agents such as salts, nitric acid, sodium hydroxide, and sodium carbonate to make them odorless. There are known methods for adsorbing bad odors using activated carbon.

However, among these methods, the method using a masking agent has the disadvantage of causing discomfort in places where one stays for a long period of time, and the other methods using oxidative decomposition, neutralization, immobilization, or adsorption have the disadvantage that they are not effective against odorous substances. It has a high selectivity and deodorizes substances such as ammonia and amines well, but it has disadvantages such as being ineffective against sulfur compounds such as mercaptans, or vice versa. Another drawback was that the drugs used for that purpose were expensive.

In response to the above, the present inventors have conducted various studies and found that a substance that can be thermally extracted from fresh leaves or dried products of plants of the Camellia family, Lauraceae family, etc. using an alcohol-based organic solvent, a ketone-based organic solvent, water, or a mixed solvent thereof. has a deodorizing effect on all kinds of odorous substances, but especially amines,
The present invention was completed by discovering that it has a remarkable deodorizing effect on mercaptan-based organic substances.

In the present invention, the solvents used for extracting the active ingredients from the raw materials include, for example, alcohol-based organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, propatool, and improp-tool, ketone-based organic solvents such as acetone and methyl ethyl ketone, water, and their like. Examples include mixed solvents, and ethanol and isopropanol are particularly preferred because they have a high extraction rate of the active ingredient and have a strong deodorizing effect.

For example, when applied to hot water areas that generate bad odors such as toilets, sewage treatment plants, garbage disposal, fish boats, feed factories, livestock stands, etc., the above active ingredients are dissolved in lower alkanols such as methanol, ethanol, or hydrous lower alkanols. It is best to spray the active ingredient in the form of a liquid or aerosol. When deodorizing or removing bad odors from food, drink, or medicine, the active ingredient can be applied as a powder or formed into tablets or granules using a conventional method, and then administered as a powder or in the form of a tablet or granule. It is best to seal it separately in the packaging or storage container of the product or medicine.

In these cases, the required amount of the active ingredient varies depending on the raw material for extraction of the active ingredient, the place of application, the odorous components, etc., but for example, when spraying directly on a hot water area where a bad odor is generated, it is approximately 0% compared to the amount of the odorous substance. About 0.01 to 0.1 part is sufficient, and for example, when separately sealed in a container or storage, about 0.01 to 0.1 part is sufficient based on the amount of odorous substance. .

Although the mechanism of action of the deodorant/deodorant of the present invention is not clear, it is likely that the active ingredients extracted from fresh leaves or dried products of plants of the Camellia family and Lauraceae family include flavone compounds, Since it contains many unsaturated aldehyde compounds and organic acids (tannic acid, etc.), for example, for mercaptan compounds, addition to flavone compounds and unsaturated aldehydes, ammonia, and amine compounds This is presumed to be based on reactions to aldehydes, etc., and neutralization with the above-mentioned organic acids.
