Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop a printing medium at a desired stopping position by a method in which error values preset in a switching means and a given feeding amount stored in a feeding amount register are calculated and a given pulse number is supplied to a drive circuit. CONSTITUTION:In an arithmetic unit 12, pulse number is once stored in a pulse number generator 11, by which the stored pulse number is deducted while pulse from a phase shifter 10 is distributed and then supplied to a pulse motor drive circuit 9. In this way, the feeding of the printing medium is finished and whether or not the printing medium 1 is sent out and stopped at a right stopping place is confirmed by an operator. In case where excessive feeding is made, a deduction constant is set by a compensatory switch 13, whereas in case the feeding is short, an addition constant is set so as to make it coincide with a proper value.

補償スイッチ13によシ減算定数をセットし、この反対
に不足給送の場合は加算定数をセットし適正値に合致さ
せる。もし、この処置により次回も再び適正停止位置か
らずれを見い出した場合には更に上記の操作を繰り返す
。この様にするからパルスモータ駆動信号によってこれ
に応答して送出される印字媒体1は第2のセンサ5から
停止位置までの大体の給送が達吃され、且つ第2のセン
サの微調整によっていた分については別に設けられた補
償スイッチ13による修正分データをセットさせる様に
して本来の所要停止位置に給送制御される。

送量レジスタと、前記スイッチ手段にプリセットされた
誤差値と給送量レジスタに記憶させた給送所定量とを演
算処理する演算器と、該市1算器からの数値にもとづき
パルスモータ駆動回路に所要パルス数を供給するパルス
数発生器とから成り、検出器の位置決め精度に依存する
ことなく印字媒体を所望停止位置に停止させる様にした
ことを特徴とする印字媒体の停止位置調整方法。
