Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the cushion body free from a flash, by arranging an elastomeric packing between the parting faces of the split molds and pouring a foamable stock liquid into a molding space. CONSTITUTION:The split mold is composed of a top force 1a and a bottom force 1b and the molding space for a cushion body is shaped by both. An elastomeric packing material 3 is put between the parting faces of the top force 1a and the bottom force 1b so as to be at the same face as the inner face of both forces 1a, 1b or to protrude somewhat in the molding space. When the foamable stock liquid of a synthetic resin is poured into the mold and foam molding is done, the cushion body 6 made from the foamable stock liquid fills the molding space. After a reaction is finished, the top and bottom forces are parted and the cushion body 6 in which the place corresponding to the parting face of both forces is flat or concave and a flash does not generate is obtained, because the intrusion of a foaming object is prevented by the packing material 3.

In general, the Molle F pear-shaped body used to manufacture cushion bodies for seats, etc. is a split mold made by combining multiple mold components, and when foaming, a part of the foam enters the joint between the molds. The resulting cushion body (foam) had flakes. When such a body was covered with a skin and assembled into a seat, the skin rose up and spoiled the appearance. In addition, the foam part was hard due to the collapse of the bubbles in the foam, and when the part was touched, it felt like a foreign body, which was not desirable. Therefore, there is a drawback that the process requires deburring after foaming.

An object of the present invention is to provide a cushion body which has been devised in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks and which does not produce any flakes.

以下、この発明の実施例を図面にしたがって説明する。Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, (1) is a split mold,
This mold consists of an upper mold (1a) and a lower mold (lb), both of which form a space (2) for molding the cushion body. (3) is an elastic banking material (made of resin), and one end of the backing material is flush with the inner surface (8) of both molds.
- Alternatively, the cushion body may be prevented from becoming burred by being brought into the mating portion of the upper and lower molds so as to protrude somewhat into the molding space.

After the reaction is completed, the upper and lower molds are separated to obtain a cushion body (6) as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. During foaming, the backing material (3) at the joint between the upper mold and the lower mold prevents the foam from entering the cushion body (6), resulting in the area becoming flat or concave (7) and causing flaking. There's nothing to do.
