Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide superior wear and corrosion resistances to a member of a fluid treating apparatus made of Ti or Ti alloy and to remarkably elongate the usage life of the member by forming a hard oxide film on the surface of a member contacting with a fluid to be treated and by allowing a sacrificial anode material to exist.
CONSTITUTION: A member of a fluid treating apparatus made of Ti or Ti alloy is heat treated at 550W850°C to form a hard oxide film on the surface of the member. A sacrificial anode material such as aluminum bronze piece is then allowed to exist at a prescribed part of the oxide film by attachment, fixing, spraying or other means. Thus, the surface of the member contacting with a fluid to be treated is coated with the hard oxide film having superior wear resistance, and by the existence of the sacrificial anode material corrosion resistance is provided. Accordingly, the member is stabilized over a long term even in severe environment causing violent wear and corrosion, and the usage life of the member can be elongated.
