Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate use of a domestic cooking apparatus utilizing gas or other fuel and to increase accuracy in detecting the temperature of oil, by attaching a heat-sensitive element to a heat receiving section of a heater, and fixing a flange to a pipe for supporting the heat receiving section at the portion thereof near the heat receiving section.
CONSTITUTION: A heat-sensitive element 6 is fitted in a small hole 5a formed in a heat receiving section 5 and a flange 8 is fixed to a lower portion of a pipe 4 for supporting the heat receiving section 5 at the portion thereof near the heat receiving section 5. Lead wires 6a of the heat-sensitive element 6 are passed through the inside of the pipe 4 and connected to an electrode 7a. With such an arrangement, when the heat receiving section 5 is lowered by the weight of a frying pan or the like placed on a gas burner (not shown) and a control circuit including the heat-sensitive element 6 is completed together with the electrode 7a, the temperature of oil is measured by the element 6, and the opening of a gas supply valve is controlled in response to the measured temperature. Here, by selecting the flange fixing position appropriately, it is enabled to minimize the influence of radiant heat and to increase accuracy in detecting the temperature of oil.
