Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a titled liner of a long life economically in a short time by separately packing super heat resistant alloy powder and iron-base hot tool steel alloy powder respectively in an annular space part of two pieces of metallic pipes approximate to the shape of a final product and consolidating the same.
CONSTITUTION: An annular space part consisting of an outside cylindrical steel pipe 1 and an inside cylindrical steel pipe 2 is divided to a predetermined ratio by means of a thin walled cylinder 4 made of mild steel. The bottom part thereof is closed with a cap plate 3, and the super heat resistant alloy powder of any of iron base, Ni base and Co base is packed in the annular space part between the pipe 2 and the cylinder 4 and alloy powder of iron base hot tool steel in the space part between the cylinder 4 and the pipe 1. The cylinder 4 is withdrawn gently, and the upper part is welded and tightly sealed with a cap plate, after which air is evacuated therefrom to a vacuum state through an air release pipe 5, thence the sealing alloy powders are compacted by a hot hydrostatic method, and the interface of two kinds of the alloy powders is diffusion welded. Thereafter, the pipes 1,2 are removed.
