Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the setting of a contact pressure of a brush with a commutator from outside a motor after assembly by making the contact pressure adjustable freely with the screwing of a screw while the screw serves as a motor terminal. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 3 is provided in a brush holder 2 communicating from inside to outside a case 1 and a screw groove 4 is formed on the inner surface of the external end of the through hole 3. The base end 9 of a brush 8 is fitted into the internal end of the through hole 3 and the tip thereof 8 slides in contact with a commutator 7 of a rotor 6. The contact pressure of the brush 8 with the commutator 7 can be adjusted by screwing forward or backward the screw 5 along the screw groove 4. Besides, the screw 5 can serves as motor terminals thereby eliminating the need for providing any motor terminal.
